Welcome to Garlieston Caravan Club Site Get to know Garlieston This is the ideal location for an undemanding, relaxing holiday. It is a peaceful site, divided into two areas, but because of its compact nature and the absence of a play area it may not be considered suitable for families with children. One section of the site overlooks the bay but has limited awning space, the other, is a more secluded and sheltered area with awning space for all pitches but lacks sea views. Garlieston village is a quiet spot geared to farming and leisure. Many of the attractive cottages in the crescents wrapped around the bay are holiday homes and pleasure craft now share the harbour with a few fishing boats. A good spot for fishing, boating, cycling and walking, the site offers adjacent access to a coastal path leading to Galloway House Gardens, with their famed azaleas and rhododendrons and a handkerchief tree, and to the sandy beach at Rigg Bay, where wartime Mulberry Harbours were tested, and on to the ruins of Cruggleton Castle.
