Norman Cross to Lock

This stage starts beside the A15 from Norman Cross near Yaxley. Please stay on the footpath. The changeover point is in the layby just to the left of the Junction. From the A15 adjacent to the Premier Inn. The changeover is at the Norman Cross Memorial. The memorial is to the 1,770 prisoners who died at Norman Cross and was erected in 1914. The bronze Imperial Eagle was stolen in 1990. In April 2005, the Duke of Wellington, unveiled the restored replacement bronze eagle by sculptor John Doubleday

Starting at the Memorial, head towards Yaxley At the first set of traffic lights head straight across, DO NOT attempt to cross the road at this point.but continue to the 2nd set of traffic lights crossing to the other side, continue to run in the same direction towards .

At signs for Green Wheel just after yet another set of traffic lights take the turn to the right and continue onto path,

Follow signs for route 12 / 21.

Take care when crossing the quarry road!

The Green Wheel Relay Stage 6 Distance 7.6 Miles

Continue on the path which takes you over the over the railway line. At the end of the path turn right on to Haddon Way.

At the next junction turn left, running for a short time before crossing the road and turning right on to Main Street, just past the village sign. Beware traffic!

Take a left at the thatched cottage On to Cross Street and then straight across on to the Green Wheel path.

Head under the bridge and continue following the signs for 12 / 21.

That’s it, changeover at the Green Wheel sign.
