Pearl Assurance National Memorial (relocated from London to Lynch Wood, Peterborough) Broadway Cemetery, Peterborough (£10) This CD contains a record and index of all the readable gravestones in the Broadway Cemetery, Peterborough. Opened in 1858, it was replaced in the 1920s by Eastfield Road Cemetery but for those who had a right to burial in a “family plot” internment continued up to 1955. There are over 10,000 entries with a location indicator and cemetery plan. Deacon School, Peterborough (£10) The main sources for this CD’s pupil and teacher names and information were the Deaconian Magazine 1912-1984, the Admission Registers 1902-1926 and 1941-1944, the Governors Minute Book 1880-1926 and Accounts 1877-1919. There are 10 PDF documents with a full (excel) index of 9000 names to enable easy location of information in the relevant PDF. GRO – Peterborough Area Marriages 1837 – 1851 (£5) This CD contains an excel name index for all marriages in the General Registrar’s Index from the start of registration until 31st March 1851. It also contains a PDF of the same marriages listed by the quarter in which they were registered and (for almost all) the place within the Peterborough Registration District where they took place. Lincoln Road Junior Boys School, Peterborough – Admissions 1911 – 1923 (£5) This CD contains a PDF transcription of the Admissions Register 25th July 1911 to 7th February 1923. Information includes the boy’s name, date of birth, address, parent/ guardian, date of admission/readmission and last school attended plus date and reason for leaving. There is an index of surnames cross referenced to the Admission Register number(s) to help find entries. £1 goes to Sue Ryder Home, Thorpe Hall, Peterborough for each disc sold. In & Around Peterborough with PDFHS (£5) The CD has a file of 1000 names in various PDFHS Journal articles plus another file SOKE VILLAGE PROFILES with 3000 names and some general information about each village (both Word). An (Excel) combined name index enables easy name location within each file. The third (Excel) file is of the 1200 names and occupations in the 1792 Peterborough area MILITIA LISTS. Peterborough Advertiser Marriages (1855-1899) & Deaths (1855-1891) (£5 each) These two separate CDs contain an index of name and year for all marriages/deaths respectively reported in the Peterborough Advertiser. Each disc has PDFs of the original extracts which often give marriage/death date and sometimes residential detail. Peterborough Cathedral Registers 1575-2007 (£10) Transcription of the Baptism (1615-1986), Marriage (1615-2007) and Burial (1575-2007) Registers of Peterborough Cathedral. Entries are “as entered” as well as listed alphabetically by surname and there are supporting notes plus War Memorials details and information on various clergy who appear in the registers. Pictures of the memorials, some register entries and general views of the Cathedral are also on the CD. £1 is donated to Cathedral funds for each disc sold. Peterborough Records Miscellany – Volume 1 (£5) This collection of records include Wesleyan Baps 1822-37 (excel), Court Players actors and actresses (PDF), Junior Technical School Admissions 1913-14 and 1921-26 (PDF), Peterborough’s WWI Roll of Honour (PDF), names from St Peters College Journal 1927-1928, some Wildbore register entries from the area 1688-1736 (word), Ground marriages at Whittlesey St Mary’s 1605-1849 (excel) plus an alphabetical surname list of folio numbers for the 1851 Peterborough Registration Census District. Index to Peterborough Quarter Sessions, Inquests & Workhouse Indentures (£5) This CD contains PDF and Excel files which summarise details of cases at Peterborough Quarter Sessions (1872-1916), Inquests (1822-1925), Workhouse Indentures (1867-1917),14 cases from Huntingdon Assizes (1894, 1907-1916) plus 1881 census Workhouse Inmates. The name index has the Northampton R O Reference Number for the original documents. St John the Baptist, Peterborough Records (£5) This CD contains PDF and Excel files for Baptisms (1813 to 1959), Settlement Records Names Index with Northants R O Reference Number (1724-1835), Military Marriages (1800-1813), Memorial Inscriptions in the church plus a surname index for those in Cowgate Churchyard (1805-1859). These were taken from “The Old Churchyard, Peterborough” (published 1947) and the PDFHS Archivist will supply details of inscriptions for a particular surname on request – see website for contact details. .
