Honeycutt, 61, of rural Akron, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at her residence after being in failing health for six months. She was born on Sept. 25, 1955, in Paintsville, Ky., to Willis Roby and Ellen Arlene (Murry) Fairchild. On Sept. 23, 1972, in Paintsville, Ky., she married Billy R. Honeycutt. He survives. She worked at Comfort Inn of Rochester and Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester and was a loving wife and mother. Teresa was a member of the House of Prayer church of Akron since 1989. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed shopping for all kinds of things. She also enjoyed country and gospel music. Survivors include her husband, Bill Honeycutt, Akron; her daughters, Lisa Honeycutt, Akron, Mandy and husband Justin Gearhart, Akron, and Tonya and husband Ryan Kirksey, Akron; six grandchildren, Dylan, Deziree, Madison, Jake, Blake and Breanna; her sisters, Paula and Sheila; and her brothers, Lee, Phillip and Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sherry; her sisters, Francis, Mag and Brenda; and her brother, Victor. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Danny Honeycutt officiating. Burial is at Akron Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Joan C. McClellan, Rochester, and Linda S. Town, Elkhart; and a son, Jim W. Carpenter, Rochester. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at Good Family Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Robert L. Lane Robert L. Lane, 69, Deedsville, died Sunday at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. Survivors include two children, Everett L. Lane, Deedsville, and Clifford W. Lane, Peru; and one sister, Marion Evans, North Carolina. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at McClain Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Wednesday January 4, 2017 Annabelle L. Hart Dec. 9, 1926 - Jan. 3, 2017 Annabelle L. Hart, 90, Rochester, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester. She was born on Dec. 9, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of William and Miriam Swan. On Aug. 27, 1947, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, she married Gene E. Hart. He survives. Mrs. Hart had been a homemaker and early in life had worked at Wilson Corn Products and DeBruler Studios in Rochester. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, where she had been a deacon, elder and clerk of session. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bridge, painting and drawing, needlepoint and working in her garden. Survivors include her husband, Gene E. Hart, Rochester; daughter Gretchen Walter, Rochester; grandson Christopher Walter and fiancee Corey Garrett, Indianapolis; sister Carol and husband Jerry Curtis, Petersburg, Va.; and brother Jim and wife Kathy Cross, Wanatah. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Elsworth Hart in 1965; her parents; and one sister. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Community Presbyterian Church, Rochester, with the Rev. Bill Kleymann officiating. Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Citizens Cemetery, Rochester. Agnes Eileen Eckelbarger Nov. 20, 1934 - Dec. 29, 2016 Agnes Eileen Eckelbarger, 82, Rochester, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Dec. 29, 2016, at her residence. She was born on Nov. 20, 1934, in Brownsburg, the daughter of Winnie W. and Margaret Agnes (Thompson) Friedrich. In 1976, she married David Eckelbarger. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2016. Mrs. Eckelbarger had been a homemaker and early in life had worked at Woodlawn Hospital in the x-ray department. She had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved to make ceramics, sewing and creating dolls and collecting Cabbage Patch dolls. Survivors include her children, Victoria and husband Ted Phillips, Rochester, Karen and husband Kevin Hendry, Gulfport, Miss., Faron and wife Debbie Eckelbarger, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Rhonda Kauffman, Bremen, and Justin Eckelbarger, Rochester; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Jane Groover, Kentland, and Alice Huber, Florida; and brother Jerry Friedrich, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Ramona Waller; brothers James Edward Friedrich and Samuel Richard Friedrich; and sisters Marjorie Ann Friedrich, Regina Catherine McClelland, Therese Marie Friedrich, Sara Margaret Friedrich and Mary Barrickman. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at the Citizens Cemetery, Rochester, with a luncheon and visitation period to follow at the Rochester Lions clubhouse. Seidner June 30, 1929 – Jan. 3, 2017 Gene A. Seidner, 87, Rochester, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1929, in Ora, the son of Raymond Guy and Edith Elizabeth (Burkett) Seidner. Gene was an United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. On May 23, 1953, at the First Christian Church in Rochester, he married Enid Ilagene Seidner. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2011. Gene worked for Dean Foods for more 34 years, retiring on Dec. 31, 1994, and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Survivors include his children, Steven Lee and wife Linda Seidner, Fort Wayne, and Rebecca Lynne Brandenburg, Rochester; grandchildren Jeremy Drudge, Rochester, Jamie Drudge, Rochester, Kandi Brandenburg, Rochester, Shane and wife Rachel Seidner, Briceville, Tenn., and Shanna and husband Steve Constant, Wartburg, Tenn.; stepgrandchildren Scott and wife Heather Brandenburg, Cassopolis, Mich., and Corey Brandenburg, Rochester; nine great- grandchildren; sisters Marlene Clark, Soap Lake, Wash., and Pat Taylor, Albuquerque, N.M.; brother Bill and wife Shirley Willard, Rochester; and stepsister Wilma Tullis, Macy. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Jim Willard; brother Robert Seidner; stepsisters Louise Vernon Skidmore, and Shirley Wagoner; and stepbrother Chad Willard. Saturday January 7, 2017 Janet M. King June 12, 1944 - Jan. 5, 2017 Janet M. King, 72, Rochester, passed away at 4:48 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester. She was born on June 12, 1944, in Rochester, the daughter of William W. and Evelyn (Johnson) King. She had worked for many years at First National Bank, now Wells Fargo, in Rochester before retiring. She had attended the First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Rebekahs’ Lodge. She enjoyed horses, cooking and reading. Survivors include her sister, Carol Jean and husband Danny Oliver, Hamilton, Ala.; brother William H. and wife Serita King, Bourbon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Cora King; and uncles Don King and Robert King. Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Jerry Pitman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Rosalie Hutchins May 24, 1927 - Jan. 5, 2017 Rosalie Hutchins, 89, Macy, passed away early Thursday morning at her home. She was born on May 24, 1927, in Kokomo to Raymond and Allie (Weaver) Ronk. She married Kenneth R. Hutchins on Feb. 19, 1951, in Forest. He survives. Rosie worked for Delco Radio in Kokomo in her early years; she later worked for the Howard County Treasurer’s office. She graduated from Galveston High School in 1945 and was still active in the Galveston High School Alumni Association. She was a member of the Omega Pi Tau sorority and the Indiana state square dance callers association.
