Rhenus in Ukraine: Secure Logistics from One Source Agriculture plays an important role in overall economic developments in Ukraine. The two Rhenus Revival business locations in Ukraine are both situated close to the capital Kyiv. Most goods destined for Ukraine arrive through the Black Sea ports and are then transported from the coastal region to the capital. Rhenus operates warehouses with approx. 36,000 square meters of space. First warehouse for agricultural industry is located at Obukhiv, 30 kilometers from center of Kyiv, and second warehouse for FMCG is located in Stoyanka, 13 km from Kyiv, Western Europe direction. The company offers its customers all the services from one source, regardless of whether this involves imports from Europe by truck, sea or air, customs registrations, picking or transporting deliveries to final customers.
In the agricultural sector, Rhenus not only stores seeds and pesticides, but also agricultural machinery. As many customers are international chemicals corporations, Rhenus complies with western standards for security and equipment at the logistics facilities. Rhenus Revival has an ADR warehouse license in Obukhiv and propose trucks with ADR certification. The warehouses also have, for example, their own supply of water and foam mix for firefighting and barriers designed to prevent the spread of any water used for firefighting. A constant air humidity level and temperature control is maintained in the warehouses for storing seeds. Also installed the early Rhenus Revival LLC smoke detection system. Rhenus Revival stores also food items and other products from the consumer goods industry and the FMCG sector, most of which are temperature-controlled.
All warehouse operations are managed by WMS system – Microsoft Dynamic Navision, which gives the opportunity to make picking according to FIFO/FEFO/LIFO/LEFO/Batch No. principles and generate reporting depending from customer’s demand – stock detailed, moving of goods, main operation provided, BBD etc. The flexibility and functionality of WMS allows to implement EDI connection with clients’ systems (1C, SAP, Microsoft Dynamic Navision, etc.)
Rhenus Revival Ukraine provides customs-brokerage registration at customs points in Obukhiv, Vasylkiv (both – Kyiv region), Boryspil airport and at border-crossing (IM 40 EA).
The service provider handles domestic distribution logistics for more than 600 consignees – to the distributors and retail networks.
