Lamborghini World Final: Super Trofeo Titles to Be Decided in Jerez Season Closer Media Information Lamborghini World Final: Super Trofeo titles to be decided in Jerez season closer • From 24th-27th October, the Spanish track hosts the season finales of Super Trofeo Europe, North America and Asia, plus the annual World Final • Motocross legend Tony Cairoli and multiple Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro to take part Sant’Agata Bolognese/Jerez de la Frontera, 22/10/2019 - The Circuito de Jerez de la Frontera in the south of Spain will play host to the annual Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final, as well as the final rounds of the Europe, North America and Asia seasons. The overall Pro titles are all up for grabs in each of the regional championships, with the tension reaching fever pitch at the end of another enthralling year. Taking place between the 24th and 27th October at the former F1 Grand Prix venue, the World Final is the traditional conclusion to the trio of Lamborghini Super Trofeo seasons, with a pair of races deciding who is crowned “world champion” of the one-make series for Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evos. Leading the European championship coming into the final round of the year is the Bonaldi Motorsport partnership of Danny Kroes and Sergey Afanasiev on 121 points, just five ahead of the Imperiale Racing duo of Kikko Galbiati and Vito Postiglione. Kroes/Afanasiev’s Bonaldi team- mates Stuart Middleton and Jack Bartholomew are just 16 points further adrift in third, with all three right in the mix for the Pro title. While the Pro category title is anyone’s guess, the Pro-Am battle was all but decided in Shota Abkhazava’s favour at the Nürburgring. The Georgian has a 16-point margin over Harald Schlegelmilch, but the pair will share the #12 ArtLine Team Georgia car this weekend, meaning Schlegelmilch would have to drive solo in either of the two races and win the Pro-Am class to stand any chance of overhauling Abkhazava. The Am category is close to being wrapped as well, with AGS Events’ Nico Gomar holding a 32-point advantage over GT3 Poland’s Robert Zwinger. Zwinger can equal Gomar on points if he takes both wins and Gomar fails to score, but the latter would still win the title on win countback. There’s also a tense title battle ahead in the Lamborghini Cup. Benoît and François Semoulin lead the way on 120 points but AGS Events’ Joseph Collado is just 11 points in arrears, with the privateer Gerhard van der Horst only another two behind. In the Asian championship, things are a lot closer between the top two in the standings as FFF Racing’s Juuso Puhakka and Takashi Kasai hold a slender two-point cushion over the Gama Racing crew of Chris van der Drift and Evan Chen. The remaining three class titles are also being disputed, with just 14 points separating Clement Li, Paul Wong and Takamichi Matsuda/Daijiro Yoshihara. Competing in a one-off appearance in the Asia series will be nine-time motocross world champion Antonio “Tony” Cairoli and five-time winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours Emanuele Pirro, both of whom will be making their Lamborghini Super Trofeo debuts this weekend. This year has been another stellar season in North America, with three of the four class titles set to be decided in Jerez this weekend. Change Racing’s Richard Antinucci and Corey Lewis lead the standings on 124 points, only six ahead of the #46 Precision Performance entry of Brandon Gdovic. The #1 Prestige Performance/Wayne Taylor Racing duo of Andrea Amici and Sandy Mitchell lie just six points adrift of Gdovic in third. With nine wins out of 10 so far this year, Damon Ockey wrapped up the Pro-Am title at Laguna Seca last time out, but the Am category and Lamborghini Cup are still all to play for. Just 15 points split Am leader McKay Snow, teenager Steven Aghakhani and Cameron Cassels, while Mel Johnson holds the advantage in the LB Cup. 1 Media Information The Weekend Timetable at a Glance Official track action for Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe kicks off on Thursday with the first of two one-hour free practice sessions, beginning at 11:30 CET. Vol52,6,2009New 2-12-2009 12:39 Pagina 615 ANNALS OF GEOPHYSICS, VOL. 52, N. 6, December 2009 Roberto Mantovani (1854-1933) and his ideas on the expanding Earth, as revealed by his correspondence and manuscripts Giancarlo Scalera Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Roma, Italy Abstract Roberto Mantovani (Parma, 25 March 1854-Paris, 10 January 1933) – a musician and geologist trained in the Duchy of Parma – was a Consul in the French island of La Réunion at the end of the nineteenth century. In 1878 drawing general conclusions from the similarity in shape between the facing banks of a river that flowed in a vol- canic fracture, and the way in which the layers corresponded, Mantovani formulated a mobilistic theory, attribut- ing the moving apart of the continents to the expansion of the entire planet. This theory is more general than that of Wegener from the first decades of the following century. Mantovani’s hypothesis was officially recognised by the French Geological Society in 1924, which incorporated it in its body of legitimate ideas. Encouraged by Bour- cart in 1924, Wegener quoted the Italian in his famous book as one who offered ideas extraordinarily close to his own. A letter of Mantovani to Wegener, and the sceptical answer of the German scientist, have been recently found. In his letter Mantovani shows a greater awareness of the predecessors of the continental drift than Wegen- er himself. Mantovani continued to disseminate his idea up to the last years of his life. A final pamphlet, of 1930, was printed with this dedication: «to the mathematicians, physicists, astronomers, geologists, and anyone inter- ested in the great enigmas of the Universe».

Media Information Lamborghini Super Trofeo: Emanuele Pirro and Tony Cairoli special crew at the World Final Sant’Agata Bolognese, 15 October 2019 – Nine-time Motocross World Champion Antonio “Tony” Cairoli and five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Emanuele Pirro will form an exceptional crew at the Lamborghini World Final in Jerez de la Frontera (24-27 October). For Cairoli, who won the Monza Rally Show in 2018 and tried out a Formula 1 single-seater of the Red Bull team, it’s the first experience at the wheel of a GT car. But following the first test runs driving a Huracán Super Trofeo Evo, he is confident he can get a good position. “My thanks to Lamborghini, who gave us the chance to do some test drives at Vallelunga,” commented Cairoli. “The car was really fantastic to drive and everything went well except for the weather, which partially ruined the second day of testing. Now we’re looking forward to the World Final, which will be a true debut for me.” Alternating at the wheel with the famous novice will be Emanuele Pirro, legend of covered-wheel motorsport, who stated: “I am super excited to take part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final for more than one reason. First, because I’ll finally get to drive this iconic car in a race, and second, sharing it with a true legend like Tony Cairoli will make it even more special. It will be the perfect way to get to know from the inside how the Super Trofeo works, in light of my role as Motorsport consultant for Lamborghini.” The two drivers will compete at the wheel of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo no.
