Looking at the example of the conflict in Ireland, there are two mentalities in our quarrel - the Nationalist and the Unionist. The real political challenge to the Unionist mindset occurred when Nationalist Ireland essentially said: “Look, your objective is an honorable objective, the protection and preservation of your identity.” Geography, history, and the size of the Unionist tradition guarantee that the problem cannot be solved without them, nor against them. If we can leave aside our quarrel while we work together in our common interest, spilling our sweat and not our blood, we will break down the barriers of centuries, too, and the new Ireland will evolve based on agreement and respect for difference, just as the rest of the European Union has managed to achieve over the years–the healing process. That is the philosophy that I hope, at last, is going to emerge in your neighboring island of Ireland. I look forward to our island being the bridge between the United States of America and the United States of Europe. Contention [As slide] Anarcho-punk should not be seen simply as a pacifist-punk culture. The culture’s self-identification as ‘peace punk’ was not immediate, and anarcho-punk quickly became diverse in political and cultural ambition, especially concerning the nature of opposition to the state Perceptions of the utility of political violence changed within a few short years, as anarcho-punk responded to a range of pressures and counter-pressures. Changing views of violence reflect shifts in the centre of political gravity within the movement 3. ‘Boring fucking politics will get us all shot’ Discussion about the recourse to political violence in Britain often starts from the assumption that the use of physical force in pursuit of political aims is somehow ‘alien’ to the British system. To provide the context for a discussion about anarcho-punk’s relationship to political violence means establishing the extent to which political violence (deployed by the state and its opponents) was a recurring feature of British political life in the late 1970s and 1980s. 4. Sloan The recently updated counterinsurgency (COIN) doctrine for the U.S. Army (FM 3-24) includes a lengthy discussion of the role of intelligence in COIN, but does not give the U.S. intelligence community useful guidelines for operations.1 Instead, the field manual provides an all-inclusive laundry list of information to be collected without any useful guidance on priorities and methods. The manual acknowledges the crucial role of the intelligence community in COIN, but leaves out an actionable set of standards to guide its operations. To lay the groundwork for an intelligence doctrine, or a set of best practices, for COIN, this report reviews the literature on both the role of intelligence and how counterinsurgency operations are fought and won. Before War in Donbass (2014-present), which lead to 9,371 death up to June 3, 20161 it also can be called the bloodiest conflict, but unfortunately The Donbass War snatched from The Troubles “the victory palm” of this dreadful competition. The importance of this issue, however, is still essential and vital because of challenges Europe experience now. Both proxy war on Donbass and recent terrorist attacks had strained significantly the political atmosphere in Europe, showing that Europe is not safe anymore. In this conditions, it is necessary for us to try to assume, how far this insecurity and tensions might go and will the circumstances and the challenges of a international relations ignite the conflict in Northern Ireland again.
