PROGRAM Midsummer marks the longest day of the year. In Sweden, a country with dark winters and short summers, celebrating the light and the warmth is a natural thing to do. Välkommen! As mayor of Lindsborg, I would like to welcome all of you to our Midsummer’s Festival. This has been an annual event to high- light the community’s Swedish heritage and our way of helping all of you to experience this heritage. This festival has been held for 37 consecutive years. The planners for this festival have been hard at work to make this a participation experience for you – not just an observation experience. So, I invite all of you to get involved and take part in all that you can.
