Background Kampot Province is located in the south-western part of Cambodia Thailand Lao with a total coastline of 73 kilometers (94 kilometers if Kep coastline is also included). The coastline stretches from the border of Hatieng district, Vietnam to Koh Ses, Prey Nup district, Sihanouk Ville. The area of the province is 4,873 km² and consists of 08 districts, 93 communes. Total amount of institutional wastes generated during the survey period was 0.806t/day (public offices 0.153t/day, school 0.653t/day), or 294.20t/year Waste Management System for Institutional/commercial /industrial waste 1. Organic waste stream: about 58.81% of total waste from sources above equal 6.5 t/d are collected by GAEA for disposal at dumpsite. Organic moisture is 65.90% and mass weight 60.53g/kg.
