Each wine has that wine’s grape varietal percentages, a brief description as well as other interesting factoids. No doubt, some names are hard to pronounce. DOMAINE DES CADASTRES, 2016 PICPOUL DE PINET, LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON, FRANCE 10 33 100% PICPOUL (AKA: PICQUEPOUL.) With bright, zippy acidity, a hint of effervescence and flavors of lime, lemon zest and an inherent salinity, this is the perfect wine to beat the heat or to pair with oysters! Picpoul is an ancient grape whose name translates literally as "stings the lip", a reference to the grape's ability to keep its’ mouthwatering high acidity even when grown in a hot, Mediterranean climate.

The palate is dry and bracing with notes of quince, honey, dried orange peel and herbs, yielding to a long, clean, crisp finish. A terrific anytime, anyplace sipper or a lovely with redfish, salmon, pork or poultry. WILLIAM FEVRE, 2017 CHABLIS, CHAMPS ROYAUX, BURGUNDY, FRANCE 14 37 100% CHARDONNAY. An impressively precise Chablis, delivering a nose of citrus fruits, flowers, green apple and flinty flavors of wet stone in the mid-palate with a beautifully clean finish. Fresh, supple, it is marked by mineral notes, typical of the appellation. A perfect accompaniment for grilled fish & oysters but would also work well with chicken with fresh herbs. JOSEPH DROUHIN, 2016 LAFORÊT BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY, BURGUNDY, FRANCE 9 32 100% CHARDONNAY. An excellent, entry level Burgundy made with grapes from all over Burgundy from vineyards high up at the top of the slopes, close to the forest or "LaForêt". Aged in stainless steel vats 7 to 8 months, with part of the wine aged in oak barrels, allowing the gentle marriage with oxygen, resulting in a wine that is not overly woody but rich in aromas. HENRI PERRUSSET, 2016 MÂCON-VILLAGES CHARDONNAY, BURGUNDY, FRANCE 15 38 100% CHARDONNAY. Henri Perrusset’s vineyards are in Farges-les-Mâcon, on the northernmost spur of the limestone subsoil that characterizes the appellation of Mâcon and not far away from a village named Chardonnay! The limestone in Farges is more marly than the compact limestone farther south in Pouilly-Fuissé. It is easier to work despite all the stones, provides great drainage for the vines and gives the wines their grainy minerality. This is a blend of all Henri’s holdings around Farges with the ripeness and intensity level of a Pouilly-Fuissé or even a Saint-Aubin. DOMAINE DE LA CHAPELLE, 2016 POUILLY-FUISSE VIEILLES VIGNES, BURGUNDY, FRANCE 48 100% CHARDONNAY. This pale gold, old vines cuvée, shows sweetness on the nose, is full-bodied with ripe, open fruit and an elegant finish; just right on the Goldilocks test. Pouilly-Fuissé is from southern Burgundy's Mâconnais district. 8 gold medals, 3 Silver medals in 17 years. HAHN FAMILY, 2016 S·L·H CHARDONNAY, SANTA LUCIA HIGHLANDS, CALIFORNIA 14 37 100% CHARDONNAY. Gently sweet with restrained alcohol, the vibrant fruit flavors envelop the palate, underscored by a refreshing acidity. Pairs well with fruit, sweet cheeses; mascarpone, and sweet desserts; fresh berries and cream, pineapple, pastries and white chocolate or enjoy alone as a sweet aperitivo.

CHÂTEAU DE TRINQUEVEDEL, 2017 TAVEL A.O.C., ROSÉ, RHÔNE VALLEY, FRANCE 15 38 45% , 24% CINSAULT, 15% CLAIRETTE, 10% MOURVÈDRE, 6% . Tavel is the only A.O.C. in all of France made up entirely of rosé. These darker-hued rosés contain a maximum of 60 percent Grenache and are chock full of flavor. Made by the direct press method from 30-plus-year-old vines. Full of ripe raspberry flavors speckled with notes of “garrigue,” this is about as terroir-driven as it gets. RED Wines glass bottle SEAN MINOR, 2016 FOUR BEARS PINOT NOIR, CENTRAL COAST, CALIFORNIA 10 33 100% PINOT NOIR. A medium bodied Pinot Noir that displays aromas of ripe plum, violets & cocoa. On the palate it offers luscious flavors of dark cherry, blackberry & floral notes with a touch of spice. The bright acidity makes this a great food wine. A LOT of bang for the buck. DOMAINE MICHEL JUILLOT, 2015 MERCUREY “LE MEIX JUILLOT,” BURGUNDY, FRANCE 52 100% PINOT NOIR. “Soft wood is noticeable on the ripe nose of dark currant, pepper and plenty of earth character that continues onto the notably finer and more energetic middle weight flavors. There is evident minerality and I very much like the mouth feel of the balanced, focused, detailed and impressively persistent finish. The tannic spine is firm but already well-integrated. This is a lovely, seductive, well balanced Oregon Pinot Noir. Ruby, bright color with aromas of fleshy cherry with medium fruit, acidity & tannins. It’s fruit forward with red berry, moderate baking spice, a hint of tart pomegranate and spice on the finish. Superb with roasted chicken & pork. Easily drinkable on its own, a great social after-work sipper. Yummy! ENRIQUE FOSTER, 2017 IQUE , MENDOZA, ARGENTINA 10 33 100% MALBEC. A young, fruity wine from the sun-soaked vineyards of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina – the world’s premier source of Malbec. Ruby-red flushed with violet, IQUE exhibits aromas of blackberry, plum and spice. The wine tastes true to the bouquet with blackberry, plum and spice flavors. The dry finish adds some nice spicy tannins and blackberry flavor that hangs around for a while. This is simply a very good Malbec that I’d be happy to drink on a regular basis. Fruity aromas of ripe plum and dried cherry combine with spicy notes of cinnamon, licorice and vanilla to give this Merlot a complex character.
