The palate is expansive and the finish is dry and lipsmackingly good. One of the things I love about it is that it leaves on the lips, a fresh little lemony whisper which makes it a fabulous complement to simple fish dishes.” – Kermit Lynch DOMAINE DE REUILLY, 2016 SAUVIGNON BLANC, LOIRE VALLEY, FRANCE 15 38 100% SAUVIGNON BLANC. “Reuilly is an ancient village with Chablis-like soil full of chalk, fossils and sea shells. Try to imagine Sancerre grown at Chablis. The fruit is lively, with white flower perfumes, citrus and minerality. It has finesse and precision. The first impression on the palate, is of fresh, cushiony, Sancerre-like Sauvignon Blanc. Then, immediately, there is a firmness, a stony firmness that appears from within the wine. Let’s call it to the Rescue, because a wine with nothing but pure fruit seems banal.” – Kermit Lynch.

Broad and pliant, offering palate-coating dark berry and bitter cherry flavors given lift and bite by a peppery quality. Sweet and velvety on the gently tannic, long persistent finish, which leaves behind candied cherry and spice notes.” - 90 pts Josh Raynolds, Vinous SAINT COSME, 2016 COTES DU RHONE, GIGONDAS, RHONE VALLEY, FRANCE 13 36 100% SYRAH. BIG personality with loads of ripe plums, redcurrants, blackberries & gingerbread carried by a mouthwatering anise – licorise note through a long, violet-edged finish. Saint Cosme, in the heart of Gigondas, is one of France’s oldest wine estates in France, with 25 perfectly preserved, in-ground vats, carved into stone by Roman soldiers in 109 AD. It has remained in the same family since 1490. TELEGRAMME, 2014 CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE, SOUTHERN RHONE, FRANCE (34.57) 75 90% GRENACHE, 10% MOURÈDRE. "Brilliant red. A lively, spice-tinged nose displays zesty red berry and floral scents, along with hints of succulent herbs and white pepper. Taut red currant and strawberry flavors open up and deepen slowly with air, showing very good clarity and picking up a sweet lavender pastille quality. Shows appealing finesse and nerve, with no rough edges, and finishes on a resonating floral note with sneaky, harmonious tannins.” - 92 pts., Vinous SEGHESIO, 2016 SONOMA ZINFANDEL, SONOMA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA 14 37 ZINFANDEL, PETITE SIRAH. Ted Seghesio harvests multiple diverse lots of Zinfandel from Sonoma County’s Dry Creek & Alexander Valleys to make Sonoma Zinfandel with a small amount of Petite Sirah for color and structure. The wine shows tantalizing raspberry, blueberry, classic briary and spicy flavors with bold aromas of blueberry, nutmeg and baked strawberry with hints of brambly spice and lush black fruit. The palate is smooth with flavors of briery, black cherry, cocoa and coffee with a balanced, elegantly structured finish. - 93 pts. Wine Spectator MONTES, 2014 PURPLE ANGEL, D.O. COLCHAGUA VALLEY, CHILE 85 92% CARMENÉRE, 8% PETIT VERDOT. Impressive very deep red garnet color. Tremendous aromatic intensity with ripe red and blackberry fruit intermingled with aromas of sweet spices. The aromas contributed by French oak meld very well, lending subtle notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. The palate has very smooth tannins that lend breadth and complexity. Juicy acidity, generous volume and flavors in line with its aromatic profile, with a long, elegant finish. “The finish goes on for minutes. Best ever. Drink in 2019 but so gorgeous now.” - 98 pts. James Suckling. , PORTO, MADEIRA & COGNAC NICKEL & NICKEL, 2008 DOLCE-LATE WINE, NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA 375 ml. btl. 85 SEMILLON & SAUVIGNON BLANC. Dolce’s 20-acre, west-facing vineyard is protected from the prevailing winds so the damp, morning fog of autumn, hangs longer on the vines, promoting Botrytis cinerea or “” that evaporates much of the grapes’ water & concentrates the sugars & flavors. This “Liquid Gold,” offers aromas of spiced, poached pear, peach cobbler & orange marmalade. The smooth, silky & coating texture, bright acidity & lithe body is perfect with dessert or instead of dessert or during the meal with a multitude of culinary complements.
