I seed it in the greenhouse in early August and transplant it to the field 3-4 weeks later. It reaches maturity in late October which gives it a chance to experience cold nights and hopefully a couple of frosts. The frost & freezing temperatures brings out the sweetness in Kohlrabi as well as all of the cold weather loving vegetables.
