The Battle for Press Control......................J!17 Chapter 16. The State of All-Judaan................................229 N an interview published in tho Neur Yor^ World February I 17, 1921, Mr. Henry Ford put the case for the “ Protocols of Zion ” tersely and convincingly. He said: “ The only statement I care to make about the Protocols is that they fit in with what is going on. They are sixteen years old and they have fitted the world situation up to this time. They lit it now.” He made this statement when Jewish leaders and the Jewish Press in America were fulminating against a series pf articles printed in Ford’s newspaper The Dearborn Independent during the years 1920 to 1922. After some years of pressure such as only organized Jewry can conceive or inflict, Henry Ford was made to apologise to Jewry in a letter addressed to Louis Marshall, then leader of the American Jewish Commit tee, dated June 30, 1927. Ford’s apology was abject, but neither then nor since did he ever deny the truth of the articles. As clearly as the “ Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion ” reveal a concerted plan of action, of intention and achievement, through centuries of world history, so the long series of articles in The Dearborn Independent expose the powerful concentra tion of forces organized by Jewish interests and the effects of Jewish influences in the United States from the time of the Civil War up to the uneasy years following the first world war. The scope of the original articles is wide, the analysis of the relendess march of Jewish ambition and the rapid acq^uisition of political power is deep and dispassionate. In their entirety they present a most thorough exposition pf the range of Jewish influences in America over many decades; they provide adequate evidence of the motives that inspire sucn phenomena and the ultimate objective towards which Jewish policy is leading the world. In the 39 years that have passed since the publication of the series began, Jewish power in the United States has developed to a degree far out distancing even the alarming proportions exposed at that time. The Jewish “ National State ” of which we have heard so much deceptive talk elsewhere is already firmly established. De jure and de facto the United States of Amcrica can claim that title, though many American citizens may even yet be astonished and no doubt indignant to read the statement. But, examine the PACTS. The Dearborn Independent articles fitted the American scene 30 years ago, they fit it now I The Jewish Question continues to mount the scale of public attention all over the civilized world, attracting ever a higher typo of mind to the discussion of its significance. It cannot be encompassed within the range of a single volume. This edited version seeks merely to give the gist of the four volumes in which the famous series of articles were printed under the title: THE INTERNATIONAL JEW. Presenting the essential facts in easier sequence and condensed to about one-tenth of the original wordage, many contemporary illustra tions have been eliminated, but the implications of the Jewish Question in America and the evidence of the impact of the Jewish Idea on the lives of ordinary American' citizens have been marshalled in a form readily assimilable by new readers, providing a useful digest for the informed. The way to a just solution of “ the world’s foremost problem” is clearly indicated. Truth is visible when honest men seek Her diligently. The reader, wherever he may be, to whatever nation he may belong, should seriously reflect upon the fact that the condi tions long-operating in the United States and the conclusions which emerge from this investigation of the Jewish Question in that powerful country, can, in all probability, now be paralleled in his own land, his own city. If he should seek confirmation—let him look around. G . F. G r e e n . London, February, 1948. e n r y f o r d was bom on July 30, 1863, during the H American Civil War, on a farm at Dearborn, near Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of William Ford, a prosperous farmer who was of Irish stock. His mother was of mixed Dutch and Scandinavian origin. At 17 he became an appren tice in a machine shop in Detroit, and he also kept a machinc shop of his own and worked for a harvester company by repairing their portable farm engines. His mechanical genius showed itself in early youth, and in 1890, when he secured a post with the Detroit Edison Electric Company, he realized that the public were more interested in road vehicles than in tractors and he studied the principles of the gas engine to overcome the weight of steam engines. In 1887 he had built his first gas engine and kept on building more. His first gasoline “ buggy ” was given a public trial in 1893 at which it attained a speed of 25 miles an hour. In 1903 he formed the Ford Motor Company with 12 share holders and a capital of 100,000 dollars. In 1920 he was produc ing one thousand of the world-famous Ford motor<ars a day. In 1924 the annual production of the Ford works reached the towering peak of two million cars, trucks and tractors. The secret of his success lay in mass production methods, and high wages. Of humble origin himself he had a deep feeling for his employees, and worked out rough and ready principles in regarci to labour which he constantly applied. One was to pay the highest possible wages, and in this he was a true reformer; another, to accept applicants for work without questions or references. Many European socialists were impressed by Ford’s proof demonstration that Marx had been rendered obsolete by Ford and that capitalism could be rationalized and moralized. In 1918, Ford, who had been a supporter of President Wilson, had unsuccessfully run for the Senate, and there was some talk later—it caused alarm among the professional politicians— that he would run for the Presidency, but he announced that he would not stand against Coolidge. Ford made great endeav ours, most of them impracticable, to negotiate peace between the warring nations of Europe in the first world war. In 1920 he went into print and bought " The Dearborn Independent," a. virile and very independent journal published in his home town. It was noted for its courageous and continu ous examination of the Jewish Question in America, and for its objective views on true Americanism. Ford was accused by many Jews, along with Deterding and Greuger, to be a financial backer of the Hitler movement in Germany. At the Nuremberg Tribunal, Baldur Von Shirach, Hider Youth Leader, said he had become “ Jew-wise ” through reading Ford’s books. Ford was a resolute opponent of Roosevelt’s policy of “ controls ” in industry and commerce, but in his later years his political and other public activities were few. He died aged 83, at Detroit, April 7, 1947. A famous American and one of the world’s outstanding individuals. In his book “ My Life and Work,” published in 1922, Henry Ford includes the following concerning the “ International Jew ” series of articles: " The work which we describe as Studies in the Jewish Question, and which is variously described by antagonists as “ the Jewish campaign,” “ the atuck on the Jews,” “ the anti-Semitic pogrom,” and so forth, needs no explanation to those who have followed it. Its motives and purposes must be judged by the work itself. It is offered as a contribution to a question which deeply affects the coun try, a question which is racial at its source, and which concerns influences and ideals rather than persons. Our statements must be judged by candid readers who are intelligent enough to lay our words alongside life as they are able to observe it. If our word and their observation agree, the case is made. It is per- fecdy silly to begin to damn us before it has been shown that our statements are baseless or reckless. The first item to be considered is the truth of what we have set forth. And that is precisely the item which our critics choose to evade. Readers of our articles will see at once that we are not actuated by any kind of prejudice, except it may be a prejudice in favour of the principles which have made our civilization. There had been observed in this country certain streams of influence which were causing a marked deterioration in our literature, amuse ments, and social conduct; business was departing from its old-time substantial soundness; a general letting-down of standards was felt everywhere.

  • Henry Ford and 'The International Jew': His Century-Old Anti
Headline: Henry Ford and ‘The International Jew’: His Century-old Anti- Semitism Thrives in the 21st Century Source: The Dearborn Historian, Fall Issue, 2018 What: This is four pages of an 16-page article I wrote for the current issue of the Dearborn Historical Museum’s quarterly magazine, which I edit. Context: One hundred years ago this month, Henry Ford – Dearborn’s favorite son -- bought a weekly paper in Dearborn, used it to attack Jews. He turned the content into widely circulated books, which continue to sow hatred online today. There is no online aspect to The Historian. It’s like it’s 1990. Four pages By BILL McGRAW Henry Ford was peaking as a global celebrity at the conclusion of World War I, having introduced the $5 workday, assembly line and Model T -- revolutionary changes that transformed the way people lived. Reporters staked out the gates of his Fair Lane mansion. Ford loved the limelight and he constantly made news, even running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan as a Democrat in 1918. He narrowly lost. In the midst of his fame, Ford became a media mogul of sorts, forming the Dearborn Publishing Company and purchasing the sleepy Dearborn Independent weekly newspaper, which was dying of red ink. He published the paper under his name for the first time 100 years ago, in January 1919. Under Ford, the Independent became notorious for its unprecedented attacks on Jews. But Ford’s anti-Semitism traveled far beyond the Dearborn borders. Showing the marketing expertise that had catapulted Ford Motor into one of the world’s most famous brands, Henry Ford’s lieutenants vastly widened the reach of his attacks by packaging the paper’s anti-Semitic content into four books.

  • Stereotypes of Jews in Poland in the Context of Political Antisemitism
Stereotypy wzajemnego postrzegania w świadomości pokoleniowej 1 Jerzy Sielski, Jan Długosz Academy Stereotypes of Jews in Poland in the Context of Political Antisemitism The perception of ethnic minorities and nationalities has its own longstanding tradition. The stereotype of Jews is linked to the phenomenon of antisemitism. One of the most well-known definitions of antisemitism belongs to Jean-Paul Sartre: “Antisemitism seeks to find, in the existence of Jews, the cause of all or some failures, personal and collective; and the belief that it is possible to solve problems through partially or totally depriving Jews of their rights, through excluding them from the economy and society, driving them out of the country or even extermination "1. Alina Cała proposes a wider definition in her monograph Żyd - wróg odwieczny? Antysemityzm w Polsce i jego źródła (The Jew – the Eternal Enemy? Antisemitism in Poland and Its Sources): Antisemitism – an ideology, a world view or political current, containing a complex prejudice, justifying a hostile attitude to Jews. The formation of the concept of nationalism and totalitarianism was based on a tradition of anti-Judaism. Sometimes, it is referred to as racism, incorrectly singling out Jews as an anthropological race. In a broader sense – the defining of social attitudes, manifesting themselves in a world view in which an important role is played by aggression, verbal or physical, disapproving generally of and showing prejudice against Jews, and justifying such conduct through religious, nationalist, racist, political or economic reasons2. Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, in his book Hitler’s Willing Executioners, Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust, in which he tries to understand the conduct and mentality of thousands of Germans who became the perpetrators of genocide, distinguishes three dimensions of antisemitism3.

CarryingNazi-likebanners, chanting an- tisemitic, as well as anti-Muslim and anti-black slogans, they clashed violently with counter demonstrators.² The magnitude of the event, its militancy, and the venom it unleashedagainst Jews and others shocked manyAmericans, who had viewed such groups as fringe, small, and lacking in influenceand im- portance. Since the 1960s, and even more so the 1980s, American writers and ac- tivists thought that White Christian antisemitic groups have weakened and de- clined, moving into the shadows, having lost their legitimacy and much of their base of support.³ This, they now discovered, was not quite true.⁴ Racist,vir- ulentlyantisemitic Christian groups have not takenoverAmericansociety, and they weakened since theirheydayinthe 1920sand 1930s. • Skinheads in Ukraine : First Symptoms?
Skinheads in Ukraine : first symptoms? No. 16/264, April 22, 2002 On April 13, the main synagogue of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, came under attack. That Saturday evening a group of youths, who left a football match between Kyiv Dynamo and Donetsk Metallurg at a nearby stadium, set upon worshippers, smashing windows and throwing stones. The injured included the rector of Kyiv's yeshiva (a Jewish school), Tsvi Kaplan. Investigation was launched immediately after the incident. The law enforcement agencies said the attack was not motivated by anti-Semitism or planned in advance, but was an act of brutal hooliganism. Investigators questioned almost 150 fans present at the stadium. Police detained a number of drunken hooligans, who were breaking synagogue windows after the football match. Arrested fans expressed deep regret for the incident. Following the raid on central synagogue in Kyiv, the Interior Ministry instituted proceedings against hooligans charged with brutal hooliganism committed by a group of persons (Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). However, some members of the Jewish community do not believe police interpretations of the events as mere hooliganism and are convinced that the attack was a pogrom thoroughly planned by the Neo-Nazis. According to Rabbi Moshe-Reuven Azman, Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Kyiv region, the police arrived at the incident site some 20-30 minutes after the pogrom. He said the attack was carried out by almost 50 persons, who neared the synagogue as worshippers were leaving evening prayers. Rabbi Azman pointed to the fact that the mob was shouting fascist slogans «Death to the kikes» and «Heil Hitler».

  • Butchering History but Not the Jews, the Case of Post- Revolutionary Ukraine
Butchering History but Not the Jews, the Case of Post- Revolutionary Ukraine By Samuel Sokol Samuel Sokol was until recently the Jewish World correspondent for the Jerusalem Post. His reporting on the Jewish IDPs of revolutionary Ukraine garnered the 2015 B’nai B’rith World Center Award for Journalism Recognizing Excellence in Diaspora Reportaģe. He is currently writing a book on Ukrainian anti-Semitism and Russian propaganda. “Glory to the nation! Death to the enemies!” This chant was heard across Kiev’s central Maidan Square in late 2013 as thousands of Ukrainians massed in protest against the corruption and brutality of Viktor Yanukovych, their pro-Russian President. It was a chilling slogan, bearing harsh connotations for those who understood its identification with the Ukrainian nationalist movement of the early to mid- twentieth century, especially the descendants of their Jewish victims. Carrying the red and black flags of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army -which murdered thousands of Jews in western Ukraine during the Holocaust1- as well as those of the Svoboda party (the UPA’s self-proclaimed spiritual heir) those screaming the ultra-nationalist protesters represented a minority of those who had come out to vent their rage, albeit a disproportionately vocal and violent one. During the years immediately prior to the conflagration, which would engulf the Ukrainian capital and split the country in two, Ukrainian Jews had become increasingly worried about the rise of Svoboda. Proudly antisemitic, the party had a history of harassing Jews and had been declared a neo-Nazi faction by both local community leaders and the World Jewish Congress.

  • Eugenics and Racial Anthropology in the Ukrainian Radical Nationalist Tradition
Science in Context (2019), 32,67–91 doi:10.1017/S0269889719000048 RESEARCH ARTICLE Eugenics and racial anthropology in the Ukrainian radical nationalist tradition Per Anders Rudling Lund University, Lund, Sweden and National University of Singapore, Singapore Emails: [email protected], [email protected] Argument Eugenics and race played significant roles in Ukrainian interwar nationalism, yet remain largely unstudied. The Ukrainian nationalists’ understanding of the racial makeup of their imagined community was contradictory as they struggled to reconcile their desire for racial “purity” with the realities of significant variations between the populations inhabiting the enormous territories which they sought to include in their intended state project. The “turn to the right” over the 1930s placed an increased onus on race, and eugenics came to occupy an increasingly prominent place in Ukrainian radical nationalism from around 1936. In 1941, the leading Ukrainian far-right organization, the OUN had developed a project for eugenic engineering, for their aborted state, declared in L’viv on June 30, 1941. Racial conceptualiza- tions of the Ukrainian community figured prominently well into the Cold War era, gaining a new actuality and meaning in an émigré community dispersed across several countries. Keywords: Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists; eugenics; race; Teodosius Dobzhansky; Iaroslav Stets’ko; Dmytro Dontsov; anti-Semitism Introduction Only in recent years has the intellectual history of eugenics in Eastern Europe become the sub- ject of a more systematic academic inquiry. A number of important studies have significantly expanded our understanding of eugenic thought in the European states that emerged following the collapse of the multiethnic empires at the end of World War I (Turda and Weindling 2007; Boskovic and Hann 2013; Felder and Weindling 2013; Turda 2015).
