The Century Club of California Room Descriptions Ballroom The elegant Julia Morgan Ballroom was designed by the renowned architect who was a Club member in the early 20th Century. It is the perfect setting for events such as large luncheons, dinner parties/dances, performances, concerts, recitals, and speakers. The stage enhances use of the room allowing a variety of performance options. Drawing Room The Drawing Room offers a warm ambiance with wood-paneled walls, a mantel over a large working fireplace, and comfortable seating arrangements all in a setting conducive to conversation as well as more formal activities. Dining Room The Dining Room on the first floor is a pleasant room in a rosy hue which can be configured to suit your event or dining needs. Reception Room The Reception Room, adjacent to the Entry Foyer on the first floor, is suitable for more intimate events such as meetings, cocktails, or dining. Meeting Rooms The Club House has two meeting rooms on the third floor which are accessible via elevator or stairs. The President's and Board Rooms are suitable for small group meetings and are equipped with phone and wireless services. The adjacent Bride's Room is available as part of a Third Floor Suite rental. Bride's Room A charming retreat for the bride and her attendants with its own private restroom is located on the third floor and is accessible by elevator or stairs. Entry Foyer Upon entering the building you are greeted by the welcoming Foyer graced with Stratford furniture made from the old pews of Shakespeare's church and an antique long-case clock. A grand staircase leads to the Upper Foyer, the Ballroom, and the Drawing Room. Upper Foyer With a view of the century-old stained glass windows by Bruce Porter, the Upper Foyer is adjacent to both the Ballroom and Drawing Room. This Foyer can be used by small groups for drink service and limited food service during events in the adjacent rooms. .

Its original appearance is knorm from two contemporary representations. The earlier is a water color by a local artist, George Simpson. The second is a small unsigned pencil drawing made during the Civil I.7ar. The illustrations show a two-story stoccoed house with a three-bay facade. Sheltering the front entrance is a porte-cochere supported on two columns. On the north side is a three-story tower with flat roof, bracketed cornice, and paneled parapet. The roof of the main body of the house is similarly treated except that the parapet is not paneled. Panels are employed on the sides of the chimneys, however. The south xall features a central, three-part bay, and a two-story service wing is attached to the rear or east wall by an arcade. The windows on both the first and second floors are long and narrow and have no particular 1 embellishents. With studio space expansion well underway and recent long term commitments from major production clients such as Netflix taking shape, we’re expecting another busy summer of on-location filming throughout the province. This edition of In the Loop boast an array of locations from across the province. We’ve found a unique block of 50 vacant townhouses in Ottawa, taken new photos of Hamilton’s port lands and captured residential and industrial locations in Mississauga. We’ve also updated photos of the iconic Toronto Club. Our feature section highlights the City of London. We have recently photographed fifteen London locations, capturing streetscapes, sports facilities, government buildings, prisons and many others, discovering incredible location assets. We are excited to show you the contrast of London, from grand historical buildings to futuristic and modern designs—there will be plenty for you to explore! The topic of this paper is the functional and design characteristics of multifamily (formerly collective) residential buildings created in the post-war period of Modern architecture of Niš. For the post-war period of intensive and mass construction of residential buildings, a time classification of constructed buildings was performed, and they are classified into two categories. The first category includes buildings built in the 1950s, in the period of the „mature“ Modern architecture, which is a continuation of modern architecture of Niš between the two world wars. The second category consists of residential buildings created in the late 1960s and 1970s, in the period of the late (industrial) Modern architecture of Niš. In this paper, two representative examples of residential and commercial buildings from the mentioned periods were selected, both built on the 14.
