Unusual and surprising from every angle, it perfectly encapsulates both the ambition and traditions of Arsenal Football Club, both on and off the pitch. An impressive mix of glass plank facade, woven steel mesh and a metallic under-clad roof which seemingly floats above the exposed concrete seating bowl forms the main building, and careful consideration was required for a complementary but functional scheme. Proposals at Emirates Stadium included a completely redeveloped concourse within which multiples of bespoke recessed Arborslot tree surrounds were specified by HOK Sport. Social development strategies are implemented at various levels - from micro, through meso to macro. This means that, on a large scale, they involve governments, international organisations and, on a smaller scale, local communities.
