10 th International Tachov Women’s Challenge 2018 For Division B Teams

The “Rainman Hockey Chicks” and “Rainman-Event” are inviting you and your team for the women tournament “10 th International Tachov Women’s Challenge 2018” in Tachov () from Friday 13 th to Sunday 15 th April 2018.

INTRODUCTION:

This friendly women ice hockey tournament gave the opportunity to meet a lot of women hockey players from different teams and nations the past years. This season ending tournament won’t be only for ice hockey. It will be also for new friendships or to meet old friends for having a good time together. Good hockey, great parties and lots of fun are guaranteed.

Like in all tournaments before we’re starting with a small welcome party with all teams directly after your arrival in the ice arena on Friday evening. Also like always before meals provided for all tournament participants three times a day. Starting with the dinner during the welcome party on Friday evening and then another three meals will be served during the tournament in the ice arena. Only the breakfast will be served in the hotels.

In the tenth edition of the “Tachov Women’s Challenge” we’re splitting the tournaments. This tournament will be only for Division B teams (13 th to 15 th April). One weekend earlier will be the tournament for the Division A and U18 teams (6 th to 8 th April). Div B = Lower level teams.

In the tenth edition we’ll run a „Skills Competition“ on Saturday. That’s why every team have to play a game on Friday. Please organize your arrival latest until 6pm at the moment. When they are less than eight teams we’ll start the tournament on Saturday morning. But when they are more than eight teams we must start on Friday for shure. The award ceremony will be on Sunday around 6pm.

We’ll send out the finale programme with all necessary information about the tournament weekend after the registration deadline end of February 2018.

Champion 2012: Team SPORTIE (Turkey/Czech Republic) Seven teams from three nations (Czech Republic, Germany & Turkey).

Champions 2015: Division A: SC Langenhagen Lady Jets (Germany) Division B: Rainman Hockey Chicks B (Europe) Nine teams from two nations (Czech Republic & Germany).

Champions 2016: Division A: Hannover Lady Scorpions (Germany) Division B: Rainman Hockey Chicks (Europe) Eleven teams from four nations (Czech Republic, Germany, Italy & Switzerland).

Champions 2017: Division A: Mad Dogs Mannheim (Germany) Division B: Silkeborg Girls (Denmark) Twelve teams from five nations (Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland & Germany).

In the ninth edition we welcomed twelve teams from five nations. We played the tournament in two divisions. In the final game of the Division A won the team “Mad Dogs Mannheim” against the “Rainman All-Stars A” with 5:0. The “Silkeborg Girls” won their finale game in the Division B against the “Rainman Hockey Chicks B” with 2:0. Thank you for this great weekend with great women ice hockey sport.

TOURNAMENT CITY:

Tachov is a small city situated in the western part of the Czech Republic very close to the German border. Tachov has around 12.500 residents. For the whole tournament there is no need to drive with own car. All necessary buildings (hotel, arena, other sport facilities, city centre with restaurants, bars, clubs, supermarkets etc.) are situated in walking distance.

Distances to Tachov (with the car): From Prague-Centre (155km) around 1h40min and from Prague-Airport around 1h30min. From -Centre (245km) around 2h30min and from Munich-Airport around 2h15min. From Nurnberg-Centre or Airport (both 160km) around 1h40min.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:

Programme: Friday 13 th April 2018 - Arrival and maybe tournament start. Saturday 14 th April 2018 - Tournament day from 8am to 10pm. Sunday 15 th April 2018 - Tournament day from 8am to 6pm; directly after the finale game will be the award ceremony on the ice. (FROM 9 TEAMS WE MUST START FRIDAY EVENING ALREADY!!)

Format: Women ice hockey teams from all over the world. Per division max six teams. Division A for stronger teams and Division B for lower level teams. Playing time will be 2x 20 minutes (running time) per game. Ice preparation after every game. Guaranteed at least four games per team!! Tournament schedule and format will be issued after the registration deadline.

Rules: The tournament will be played without hard body contact or checks. It’s a tournament for FAIRNESS on and off the ice!! Tournament rules will be sending out together with the tournament schedule.

Others: Two referees per game. Three referees in the finale games. Own locker room for all teams during the tournament weekend. Medical service behind the player benches during the whole tournament. Free drinking water in a big water dispenser behind the player benches. Free drinking bottle for every player. Special offers in the bar from the arena during the weekend.

TOURNAMENT HOTELS:

Both hotels are only five walking minutes from the ice arena away. All tournament participants will stay in one of these two hotels. Both hotels offer around 40 simple equipped rooms for around 100 persons each. They offer free WLAN in the whole hotel building and also free parking in front of the hotel. The hotel restaurants will be open until 10pm every day. The breakfast buffet will be served in the hotels and all other meals will be served directly in the ice arena.

Notice: All participants will stay in twin to five-bed-rooms. A few double rooms for a single use with additional fees are available. Please ask for it.

TOURNAMENT FEES:

350.- Euro per team

This fee comprised: - Tournament fee (rink, referees, timekeepers, medical service, organisation etc.). - Guaranteed at least four tournament games with 2x 20 minutes. - Ice preparation after every game. - Trophies for Position, Fair-Play, Best Forward, Defender, Goalie, Topscorer and some extra awards. - Two referees per game. Three referees in the final game. - Own locker room during the tournament weekend. - Free drinking water in a big water dispenser behind the player benches. - Special offers in the bar from the ice arena.

85.- Euro per person (whether a player or non-player)

This fee comprised: - Two nights with breakfast (13 th to 15 th April 2018). - Four meals in the arena during the tournament weekend. - Extra for players: Free drinking bottle.

Notice: Single rooms on request and with additional fee of 10.- Euro per night!! At the moment there are two single rooms per team (bus driver, coach, team staff etc.) possible. More single rooms can be only booked after we got the participants number of all teams beginning of March.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION AND PROCEDURES:

Team registration deadline: 28th February 2018 (But don’t forget: „First Pay-First Play“)

Until 28th February 2018 we’ll need the team entry fee of 350.- Euro. But don’t forget that we’ll not save any spots until this deadline. Only these teams who paid in time have a secured spot in the tournament.

Until 16 th March 2018 we’ll need a second payment of 500.- Euro per team. This money will be for the deposits (arena, hotels, meals etc.). Of course we’ll subtract this payment from the final amount. Also at this date we’ll need a number of participants from your team to check if we’ll have booked enough beds/rooms for all tournament participants.

Until 30 th March 2018 we’ll need the final number of participants from your team and also the rooming list and the roster. After this deadline we must take a cancellation fee when somebody is dropping out and you don’t find any backups. Unfortunately we have to pay this cancellation fee too so they must be passed on to you. Name changes of course a possible until the arrival. We hope for your understanding in this topic.

Cancellation-Policy: From 31 st to 8th April: Free cancellation for one person. From the second person 40.- Euro. From 9th April: 40.- Euro for the first person and 80.- Euro for every further person.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

One team must consist of at least ten players and one goalie. It’s only allowed to play for one team in the tournament.

All teams or players from the tournament should have special sport accident and travel abroad insurance. These insurances are not provided by the tournament organizer and each team should take responsibility for obtaining such insurances. It’s not included in the tournament fee. It’s your own risk to play without it. With entering of the arena you agree with these regulations. Team captains or managers must brief their team members about it.
