(January 22, 2013) Miami, FL. – To spotlight a resurgence in Art Deco grandeur, Lang & Schwander, a Miami-based turn-key furniture solution company for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce the completion of two Art Deco hotel renovations in Miami Beach, FL: the Marlin Hotel, completed in April 2012, and the Gale Hotel, debuted in December 2012 in time for the annual international art extravaganza Art Basel.

Lang & Schwander has been critically instrumental in preserving the spirit and design of these two historic architectural landmarks. In highlighting the property’s impressive architecture with tailored furniture, sleek design and classic furnishings, Lang & Schwander has poised The Marlin and The Gale as leading South Beach destinations.

Lang & Schwander similarly designed and managed construction for La Coquille Club at the Ritz- Carlton in Boca Raton. Originally established in 1965 as a prestigious private member’s club, La Coquille was revamped by Lang & Schwander to see another age of impeccable services with a health club, office, game room, restaurant and cocktail lounge. Lang & Schwander also fashioned the interior & exterior design for Bloom Restaurant, a daring restaurant in the Wynwood arts district focused on locally sourced ingredients for their evolving Guatemalan-inspired menu. Lang & Schwander designed their open-kitchen dinning room space and outdoor terrace patio with modern and rustic pieces of furniture and accents, making for a creatively accommodating space.

Now putting the finishing touches on another South Florida project, Lang & Schwander has custom outfitted the furniture, furnishings and equipment services for the boutique hotel Tides Inn in Lauderdale by the Sea. Rewired with premiere comfort and style in mind, this property is outfitted to become the next example of innovative hospitality interior design.

ABOUT THE MARLIN HOTEL: In the gilded Art Deco age of Miami Beach circa the late 1930’s, both The Marlin and The Gale were built by leading art deco architect L. Murray Dixon. The Marlin Hotel was acquired by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell in 1988 and has since hosted hundreds of artists such as U2, Beyonce, Aerosmith, Pharrel Williams and Kayne West in their recording studio, South Beach Studios. Today the Marlin Hotel rooms are outfitted with Luxury Smart Home Technology, an iPad automated control for temperature, lighting, speakers, drapes, Apple TV and music library.

ABOUT THE GALE HOTEL: After a $35 million dollar renovation, The Gale Hotel debuted to the delight of guests and critics alike during Art Basel 2012. A retro-classic meets modern-elegance boutique hotel, The Gale features a reinterpreted Italian eatery Dolce, handcrafted cocktail bar the Regent Cocktail Club, the über-cool Rec Room club by nightlife queen Amy Sacco of New York’s Bungalow 8 and No.8, and a panoramic rooftop pool and recreation area with boardgames, shuffleboard and stop-in’s by actor Adrian Grenier and mischief-maker artist Mr. Brainwash.
