Spored izmenite vo Zakonot za osnovno obrazovanie ("Sl. vesnik na Republika Makedonija" broj 51/2007), od u~ebnata 2007/2008 godina osnovnoto obrazovanie vo Republika Makedonija trae 9 godini (devetoletka) i e zadol`itelno za site deca od 6-godi{na vozrast. Kaj srednite u~ili{ta (redovni, specijalni, verski), pokraj brojot na u~ili{tata, se obezbeduvaat podatoci i za paralelkite, u~enicite po pol, po struka, po vremetraewe na obrazovnite programi i po op{tini, u~enici spored vozrasta i godinata na u~ewe, spored u~eweto stranski jazik (prv i vtor zadol`itelen i fakultativen). Isto taka, prezentirani se brojni podatoci za nastavnicite spored vidot na rabotniot odnos, polot, vozrasta, fondot na ~asovi i stepenot na stru~na podgotovka, kako i podatoci za stru~nite rabotnici. Dr`avniot zavod za statistika se nadeva deka publikacijata }e ja ispolni svojata osnovna uloga i na korisnicite }e im ovozmo`i koristewe na brojni podatoci za ponatamo{ni analizi i planirawa. Skopje, juli 2011 Rakovoditel na sektor Violeta Krsteva PREFACE In this publication, the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia is publishing data on the educational process in primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education, which are collected through the regular annual statistical surveys conducted at the beginning of the school year 2010/2011 in all types of schools. The publication comprises data on the number of primary and lower secondary schools (regular, special, adult school and art schools), class sections, enrolled students by sex, grades and municipalities, students according to the study of foreign language (first and second compulsory and facultative), students that used free transport, accommodation in boarding schools and private families. Also, there are a lot of data on teachers according to the type of employment, sex, age, number of lessons, level of education and supporting staff. According to the changes in the Law on Primary Education (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 51/2007), starting from the school year 2007/2008, the primary and lower secondary education in the Republic of Macedonia lasts 9 years (nine years) and is compulsory for all children at 6 years of age. For the upper secondary schools (regular, special and religious), in addition to the number of schools, also included are data on class sections, students by sex, qualification, educational programmes and municipalities, students according to age, year of study and study of foreign language (first and second compulsory and facultative),. Also, there are a lot of data on teachers according to the type of employment, sex, age, number of lessons, level of education and supporting staff. The State Statistical Office hopes that this publication will fulfill its role of providing users with data for further analysis and planning. All comments and suggestions aimed at improving the publication would be greatly appreciated. The Energy Law also determines that the Annual Report of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission needs to be submitted to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry competent for the performance of the assignments within the energy area, so that they could be informed, as well as to the Energy Community Secretariat. The Tikvesh region has excellent potentials for the development of wine tourism. The exceptional location, the pleasant climate, the existence of cultural and historical landmarks and traditional manifestations, the abundance of local food products of high quality, the long-standing tradition in catering expressed in a number of well-arranged and equipped catering facilities, and certainly the production of many varieties of wine with exceptional quality are excellent preconditions for the development of wine tourism.     Disaster relief emergency fund (DREF) Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia: Extreme winter condition DREF operation n° MDRMK001 GLIDE n° CW-2012-000006-MKD 9th February 2012 The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) is a source of un-earmarked money created by the Federation in 1985 to ensure that immediate financial support is available for Red Cross and Red Crescent emergency response. The DREF is a vital part of the International Federation’s disaster response system and increases the ability of National Societies to respond to disasters. CHF 92,668 has been allocated from the IFRC’s Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) to support the Macedonian Red Cross in delivering immediate assistance to 1,300 beneficiaries. Unearmarked funds to repay DREF are encouraged. Summary: Extreme cold and snowfall in the past two weeks have caused many problems in nine regions in Macedonia. On 8th February, more than 80 villages were reported to be totally isolated because of the snow. Governmental institutions are working on clearing the roads. The Macedonian Red Cross has undertaken to Macedonian Red Cross volunteers offering hot beverages respond immediately by meeting the basic needs of during the cold wave. Several branches of Red Cross with their rescue teams are providing necessary help (food and medicine) to those trapped in the mountain villages. The Red Cross branch in Skopje has opened its centre for homeless people on a 24/7 basis, and it is providing services and distributing relief items.
