In the meantime, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India have amended the provisions of Rule 1O8 of CMV Rule vide Govt. of India Car,.ite No. G.S.R. 423(E) dated 01.05.2012 by omitting certain clauses and sub-rules therein. In view of the above mentioned Amendment in CMV Rules, the aloresaid Notifrcations issued by Govt. of Odisha in Commerce and Transport (Transport) Department are not in force w.e.f. O1.O5.2O17. Primary data collected through semi- structured questionnaire from two blocks of the district, namely Golamunda and Narla with the total sample size of 300 households. In selecting the sample households, a proportionate sampling along with simple random sampling technique has been used. For analysis of the study, a five-point Likert scale has been used to measure the perception of sample respondents on the improvement of socio-economic conditions after implementation of MGNREGA.
