2. Start: Piața Unirii, Oradea, Romania • 09:00 a.m. CET • 10:00 a.m. EET The competition will start with mass start i.e. only the first runner of each team can stand up at the start zone, and all of them will start at the same time. (Team photos can be taken at the competition base in Debrecen)

Shift in time zones, as well as time change shall be taken into consideration.

3. Course of the competition: Oradea – Ártánd – Biharkeresztes – Mezőpeterd – Berettyóújfalu – Szentpéterszeg – Tépe – – Sáránd – Mikepércs – Debrecen The course runs primarily on cycle paths, as well as on public roads and agricultural dirt roads at some sections.

Registration limit: 750 people • A maximum of 750 people can be accepted for participation, any registration in excess thereof will be refused. 8. Categories for registration: Ø Individual ultramarathon Categories of women and men Ø 2-person relay teams – men’s/mixed doubles Female contestants can register for either men’s double or mixed double categories. Ø 2-person relay teams – women’s doubles Only female contestants can register for women’s double category. Ø Mixed teams of 5 under the aggregate age of 200 years Each 5-person relay team shall include at least 1 female runner. Ø Mixed teams of 5 over the aggregate age of 200 years Each 5-person relay team shall include at least 1 female runner. Ø Mixed teams of 10 under the aggregate age of 400 years Each 10-person relay team shall include at least 1 female runner. Ø Mixed teams of 10 over the aggregate age of 400 years Each 10-person relay team shall include at least 1 female runner.

9. Entrance criteria: Running speed of at least 6 minute/km!

10. Age limit for registration: - Individual category and 2-person relay teams: over the age of 18 - 5 and 10-person relay teams: over the age of 16 Written parental declaration is required for persons under the age of 18!

11. Additional law enforcement categories: Ø Individual ultramarathon Ø 2-person relay teams – men’s/mixed doubles Ø 2-person relay teams – women’s doubles Ø Mixed teams of 5 Ø Mixed teams of 10 • An additional law enforcement category is opened in the competition which the staff of law enforcement bodies and armed forces are entitled to enter. Such intention shall be indicated on the online registration interface. • Entitlement to such registration shall be certified by presenting the service ID card at the venue site. • Contestants registering for the additional law enforcement category will be included in the overall ranking, too. • Only such teams are allowed to enter the additional law enforcement category whose members belong to the staff of any law enforcement body or armed force. • The competition is officially included in the 2021 Sports Calendar of the Ministry of Interior, based on the instructions of which the participation is considered a business trip.

Those with valid registration from last year, and are on the list of entrants, do not need repeated registration. 14. Registration fee payment: • The registration fee can be paid by credit card, via bank transfer or in person. • Bank card payment interface is available at https://organicafxrunning.com once the online registration interface is opened. • In case of bank transfer, make payment of the registration fee to the account of HRSE. (e.g. Fut6tunk team, 5-person relay team) • Payment of the registration fee may be made in person, at the headquarters of HRSE: Mikes Kelemen street 4., Debrecen, after making an appointment. Appointments may be made by phone: +36703717542. Registration fees must be paid in one single payment, no later than the specified registration deadline. Registration is considered final and accepted only after the registration fee is paid. Organizers may limit the number of entrants due to security reasons, and registrations are accepted in the order of receipt of registration fees. In case the registration fee is not received until the specified deadline, the team will be deleted from the list of entrants. Billing address is required to be specified on the online registration interface, and an invoice will be issued on the payment of the registration fee. In the case of bank transfer, the invoice can be issued only with the name of the person making the bank transfer. In case the race is not held due to force majeure or cancellation by the organizers, refunding of registration fees is guaranteed.

17. Special prize for the Dream relay team: • Special prize will be awarded to the fastest runners of the specific stages, who will make up the Dream relay team at the end. • The members of the Dream relay team will be awarded a prize of HUF 10,000 each. • The contestants from all categories will be automatically included in the competition. • A runner can qualify into the Dream relay team with one single won leg only, in case a person wins more than one legs, the second ranking runner will qualify into the dream team at the specific leg. • The competition for the special prize is decided at the specific stages in between the 11 checkpoints. • Although this year’s competition has no sex-related restriction for stages i.e. all stages can be completed by both male and female runners, in the special category of the Dream relay team, the specific stages will be considered for either female of male winners. • In the special category of the Dream relay team, female runners will be awarded at stages 2, 4, 7, 10, and male contestants will be awarded at stages 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9. 18. Special rules pertaining to individual runners • In the case of individual runners, women’s and men’s absolute categories will be awarded without age-based differentiation. • Individual runners are highly recommended to take bicycle accompaniment with them. • Chips shall be checked at all checkpoints.

19. Special rules pertaining to 2-person relay teams of men’s/mixed doubles: • Male runners, as well as mixed doubles can enter the category of 2-person relay teams of men’s/mixed doubles. • Team members can exchange each other several times during the competition. • Exchange can be made at the checkpoints only. • It is forbidden to exchange in between the checkpoints. • Doubles are recommended to take bicycle accompaniment with them. • Chips shall be checked at all checkpoints.

20. Special rules pertaining to 2-person relay teams of women’s doubles: • Only female contestants can enter the category of 2-person relay teams of women’s doubles. • Team members can exchange each other several times during the competition. • Exchange can be made at the checkpoints only. • It is forbidden to exchange in between the checkpoints. • Doubles are recommended to take bicycle accompaniment with them. • Chips shall be checked at all checkpoints.

21. Special rules pertaining to 5-person mixed relay teams: • The entrance criteria for the category of 5-person teams is to have at least 1 female runner in the team. • No sex-based distinction is used when prizing. • 5-person teams can register for categories above and below the aggregate age of 200 years, based on the aggregate age of the team members. When categorizing, the age reached at the specific year is taken into consideration. • Contestants of the team are free to choose the stages to run, and the order thereof. • Exchange can be made at the checkpoints only. • Consecutive stages can be run by the same team member, however chips must be checked at each checkpoint. • 5-person mixed teams require the registration of 5 people and the payment of the registration fee, the competition can, however, be completed with less members in reasonable cases (e.g. injury).

22. Special rules pertaining to 10-person mixed relay teams: • The entrance criteria for the category of 10-person teams is to have at least 1 female runner in the team. • No sex-based distinction is used when prizing. • 10-person teams can register for categories above and below the aggregate age of 400 years, based on the aggregate age of the team members. When categorizing, the age reached at the specific year is taken into consideration. • Contestants of the team are free to choose the stages to run, and the order thereof. • Exchange can be made at the checkpoints only. • 10-person mixed teams require the registration of 10 people and the payment of the registration fee, the competition can, however, be completed with less members in reasonable cases (e.g. injury), in which case consecutive stages can be completed by the same team member.

24. Timing and exchange • OrganicaFX Running uses Checkpoint System as official timing system. • The real time status and results of the competition can be followed at http://checkpointsystem.hu, as well as under the competition’s dedicated Facebook event. • Before start, the first runner of the teams shall check in at the timing device using their chip watch. • At the checkpoints, the runners of the corresponding stage shall check in their chips, and then hand the chip watch over to their team member to run the next stage. • All categories need to check their chips at each checkpoint. • In addition, all finishing runners shall check the chip watch with the timing device at the finish gate installed at Kossuth square, Debrecen. • Exchange can be made at the checkpoints only, early exchange is not allowed even in the event of injury or sickness. The person running the specific stage shall be capable of reaching the exchange point with the chip. Section 28 hereunder shall be applicable to any case of injury. • Exchange shall be completed at the exchange point by handing the chip over as per the relevant specifications.

25. Course marking and safety • Runners are responsible for learning about the location of checkpoints and navigation. • The course will be marked with direction signs, taping and road painting, and furthermore, safe traffic at critical road crossings will be assisted by volunteers, civil guards and police officers. • We will publish the detailed map and GPS track of the course. • The course will be secured but not blocked. • Organizers do not take responsibility for any unauthorized modification of course indication signs. • The course is open for use by other road users, traffic at major crossings will be assisted by police officers, however runners shall take increased care and attention at the crossings of small access roads and gateways. • Runners are required to wear high visibility clothing; one of the primary objectives of the competition is accident prevention and promotion of safe traffic. • All contestants are REQUIRED to wear: - high visibility vest or straps - high visibility armband - functioning headlight after sunset • After dark, all runners are required to use headlight. • Failure to wear the required high visibility devices will disqualify the specific runner from the competition. • High visibility clothing is not required to be worn in the enclosed finish zone before the finish gate installed at Kossuth square, Debrecen. • The rules of the Highway Code (KRESZ) are required to be observed.

26. Escorting of runners • Runners may have bicycle escort – upon their own discretion – at the Hungarian stages. It is forbidden to use bicycle escort at Romanian stages. • Bicycle escorts are required to wear high visibility vests and bike helmet. • Only such bicycles can be used for escorting whose safety equipment meets the relevant requirements. The rules of the Highway Code, as well as the provisions of the relevant legal regulations shall be applicable to the biker and the bicycle; such are required to be observed. • The bicycle escort and the required devices, as well as the transportation thereof shall be provided individually. • It is forbidden to hinder or disturb runners, and those who run faster shall be provided free way. • The bicycle escort must not provide unfair advantage to the escorted runner, the chip shall at any case be carried by runners. • Bicycle escorts are not allowed to pass under or access the exchange gates and the finish gate. • Bicycle escorts do not need to be registered, and no registration fee is applicable to them. • Runners must not be escorted by any other means of transport. • “Escort cars” transporting team members must not provide continuous escort to runners, nor can they obstruct or uphold traffic. • Compliance with the relevant rules will be inspected by the Police and the organizers, any breach thereto will entail sanctions. • The course path, the length of the specific stages, as well as the quality of roads shall be taken into consideration; the competition course includes both asphalt-paved and dirt roads. • Dirt road sections must not be accessed with “escort cars”. • Escort cars shall observe the relevant rules and norms of the Highway Code.

27. Transportation of contestants: • Teams are required to provide for the transportation of contestants to and from the exchange points by escort cars. • The number of parking lots at the exchange points, as well as the border-check capacity is limited. • Only one escort car per team will be provided official competition sticker for border crossing. • Unreasonable use of parking lots at the exchange points entails disqualification. • The rules of the Highway Code must be observed by everyone.

28. Level time • Level time of 6 minutes/km shall be applicable to all categories; all runners are required to be capable of running at 6 minutes/km speed. • The field will be followed by a closing van at 6 min 10 sec/km speed, and once the level time of the specific stage is over, the exchange point will be uninstalled and the course will not be secured any more. • In case the last contestant of the field runs faster, the closing van will follow their speed. • If the average speed of the last runner goes below the above mentioned value, the person is required to get on the closing van. • As a general rule, should any runner be unable to complete the distance within the level time, they will be sanctioned by having such completion time recorded that is 10 minutes longer that the poorest result of the specific stage. This way, when announcing the results, all teams will be evaluated without any of them having been disqualified. Moreover, other members of the specific team can go on competing for the special prize of the “Dream relay team”. • Should anyone not be able to complete the specific stage, their exchange runner may start once the closing van arrives at the checkpoint. • Contestants who are unable to complete their distances will be taken to the checkpoint in the closing van following the field. Once the chip is checked, the next runner of the team can start to run the upcoming stage.

29. Miscellaneous rules: • Any change in team members shall be communicated until 08:00 CET on 24 October via e- mail sent to [email protected] address. • Each runner will receive a wristband which is included in the start package required to be worn throughout the competition. • Applicable rules in effect from time to time shall be observed while crossing the border during the competition. • Throughout the competition, runners are required to wear their competition number on their chest in a visible manner. • Each runner can compete for one team only.

• Until the end of the competition, all runners are required to follow the organizers’ and the authorities’ instructions. • Running off the course is deemed as a shortcut, which may entail time sanctions or disqualification in severe cases. • No external aid may be used when running the assigned stage (e.g. roller blades, bicycle, scooter, other means of transport). • It is forbidden to run with baby carriage. • It is forbidden to run with dogs. • By registering, all entrants accept the provisions of the Competition Information and the Competition Rules. Doing so, entrants acknowledge to enter the competition at their own responsibility and declare that their health condition meets the requirements of participating in the competition, and accept that the organizers of the competition may not be held liable for any personal injuries of the contestants or other damage incurred in connection with the competition. • All contestants shall have Liability Statement; competition numbers and start packages may be picked up once the signed Liability Statement is submitted. • Liability Statement can be downloaded from the website. • Contestants are disqualified if they provide incorrect or incomplete data during registration. • Contestants with unsporting behavior to the organizers or to other sports persons will be disqualified. • Any commercial and advertising activity, or the promotion of another sports event at the venue is only allowed with the prior permission of the organizers, in the form and method previously agreed on. • Due to organizational reasons, organizers of the competition reserve the right to restrict the number of participants, and close registration at any time. • The event organizers reserve the right to take photos and make films of the event and the contestants, which then remain in the property of the organizers. The organizers are free to use and publish such photos and films, and therefore, the persons in the photos are not entitled to compensation. • By submitting their entries online, and by filling in the registration sheet, the contestants accept the terms and conditions of the Competition Information and the Competition Rules. • Completion of the registration interface and the registration form is deemed as voluntary data disclosure. Entrants agree that the competition organizers shall store in their database the contestants data filled in at the time of submitting their entry. • During submitting their entry to the competition, by accepting the terms and conditions of the application included in the Competition Information, the contestants accept that the organizers will send event-related newsletters to their e-mail addresses entered during the application process. • In case the competition cannot be held due to force majeure conditions i.e. uncontrollable external reasons including in particular, but not limited to weather conditions, natural disaster, strike, blockage or any other unexpected, extreme, unforeseeable and uncontrollable condition, organizers will specify a new date that will be officially communicated. • The organizer of the competition reserves the right to modify the place and date of the program, as well as the course. • Issues not regulated in the Competition Information shall be governed by the decision of the organizing committee.
