Emery started his farm broadcasting career on a station he grew up listening to, KDHL in Faribault, MN. Since that start in 1987, Emery has worked on radio stations and ag networks in Sioux City, IA, West Point and Omaha, NE and Minneapolis, MN. Emery has been an active member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) and served as President in 2005. Emery is an avid gardener and enjoys golf and pepperoni pizza. Emery and his wife Mary Pat have six grown children and one growing grandson. Colonel Jon Phillips – Farm Broadcaster Jon was raised on a farm near Wausa, NE, and began attending cattle sales at a young age. He has 30+ years of experience in trading commodities, 20 years of cattle auctioneering experience, plus 25+ years in farm broadcasting. His live appearances at trade shows, county and state fairs and charity events keep his profile strong amount local communities. He has received “Top Broker” designation from the CME, “Outstanding Service Award” from the South Dakota Livestock Auction Markets Assoc, along with other industry accolades. ‘The Colonel,’ as most of his listeners know him, gets his information firsthand, directly from market sources and delivers market information when it’s news, not history.
