October 4, 2006 Artist Various Artists SHIPPING DATE: AUGUST 21, 2006 (estimated) STREET DATE: OCTOBER 4, 2006 ARTIST VARIOUS ARTISTS TITLE That'll Flat Git It, Vol. 23 Columbia LABEL Bear Family Records CATALOG # BCD 16723 PRICE-CODE AH EAN-CODE 4000127 167231 ISBN-CODE 3-89916-221-8 FORMAT CD GENRE Rockabilly TRACKS 30 PLAYING TIME 66:56 KEY SELLING POINTS • Bear Family’s incredible, best-selling rockabilly series has saved some of the best for last! • All the top names… Marty Robbins, Johnny Horton, Ronnie Self, Collins Kids, etc.. • Great but obscure tracks. • Previously unpublished photos and newly researched texts, together with top quality mastering. SALES NOTES Bear Family's standard-setting 'That'll Flat Git' It' is widely accepted as the new gold standard in rockabilly reissues. Incredible compilations, sparkling sound remastered from first generation tapes, full and detailed liner notes, complete discographies, and unpublished photos. Cheaper than downloads! Cheaper than buying just one of the original singles! After two volumes drawn from the American Columbia label, you'd think we'd be running low on good stuff…but not so. In addition to established rockabilly stars like Billy 'Crash' Craddock, the Collins Kids, Johnny Horton, and Ronnie Self, we've added a few non-rockabillies making a very creditable stab at the shaking music (like pop star Jimmy Boyd and country stars Billy Walker, Mel Tillis, John D. Loudermilk, Carl Story, and Marty Robbins), and we've added some of the rarest, most sought-after rockabilly from hitherto unknown artists, like Jaycee Hill, the Skee Brothers, Chuck Murphy, Leon Smith, and Eddie Zack. Now we have photos and stories on them all, plus their very best songs. Other series lose steam after a while, but 'That'll Flat Git It' just keeps getting better and better! TRACK LISTING 1. Ronnie Self: You're So Right For Me 2. The Collins Kids: Hot Rod 3. Marty Robbins: Respectfully Miss Brooks 4. Eddie Zack: I'm Gonna Roll And Rock 5. Leon Smith: Little Forty Ford 6. G Sweet Little Miss Blue Eyes und If You Got Anything Good werden häufig als zwei der besten Country-Duette aller Zeiten bezeichnet.
