This is just a small sample of the wide array of innovative programming being presented to the attending global music community. SXSW Music’s 30th annual event takes place Tuesday, March 15 - Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Austin, Texas. The SXSW Music Conference will be presenting on-trend conference programming relying on the business acumen of notable industry insiders who are here to help creative people achieve their goals. Highlighted sessions taking place in the Austin Convention Center include: A Conversation with Dion: Rock’s Enduring Voice (Dion DiMucci + Richard Gottehrer, Chief Creative Officer, The Orchard); Shaping Brand Identity: Creating Music for Brands with Rebecca Rienks, Music Supervisor, E!; Music Content Value in a Post- Ownership Age with Daniel Glass, President/CEO Glassnote Records; The A to Z of Transparency with Darius Van Arman, Co-Owner, Secretly Group and Jagjaguwar; The Revenue Stream Roadmap for Songwriters; Nardwuar’s Video Vault with Nardwuar The Human Serviette; The New Artist Rights Grassroots Advocacy; How Five Cities Propelled Modern African Music; and The Digital Music Festival - Live streamed! For 24 hours, up-and- coming SXSW showcasing artists will join with world-class hackers, designers, programmers and industry judges to create tech innovations in the music space that will enhance live performances and interactivity with their fans. The album is part love letter; part final resting place of two decades of searching for self- understanding like a religion - and the inner-resolution of maybe never finding that understanding. The album’s 10 poly-fi recordings are a collection of sacred moments: love’s torment and salva- tion, contexts of intense memories, signs that you can pin meaning onto or disregard as coinci- dence. If «Bon Iver, Bon Iver» built a habitat rooted in physical spaces, then «22, A Million» is the letting go of that attachment to a place. To narrow this album down to the next step within an «artistic career» would be to miss a far grander purpose of this music—or any music for that matter—and the cultures of friendship that sustain us in our capacities to even play music. Although «22, A Million» emerges from a swirling context of transformation in Justin’s recent life, it is based on how we have always approached what music can be or do. It is not the perceived power of money and fame that will change the course of events in one’s life, but empathy. Music is a pathway that allows us to listen to our- selves and the people that surround us. Music, even in its most intimate moments, is a pathway between us all.

Growth and temptation happen – but will their relationship remain part of their future? Writer/director Hannah Fidell explores the struggles of young love as it begins to face the next steps into adulthood. Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield give warm, genuine performances as Mel and Dan, alongside Lindsay Burdge (star of Fidell’s A TEACHER) as a colleague of Dan’s who entices him in more ways than one.
