Bon Iver (Usa)
BON IVER (USA) 22, A Million Label: Jagjaguwar Release Date: 30.09.2016 Web: www.boniver.org EPK: irascible.ch/de/releases/bon-iver/22-a-million Bon Iver - the musical project led by Justin Vernon - will release its third studio album «22, A Mil- lion». The album is part love letter; part final resting place of two decades of searching for self- understanding like a religion - and the inner-resolution of maybe never finding that understanding. The album’s 10 poly-fi recordings are a collection of sacred moments: love’s torment and salva- tion, contexts of intense memories, signs that you can pin meaning onto or disregard as coinci- dence. If «Bon Iver, Bon Iver» built a habitat rooted in physical spaces, then «22, A Million» is the letting go of that attachment to a place. To narrow this album down to the next step within an «artistic career» would be to miss a far grander purpose of this music—or any music for that matter—and the cultures of friendship that sustain us in our capacities to even play music. Although «22, A Million» emerges from a swirling context of transformation in Justin’s recent life, it is based on how we have always approached what music can be or do. It is not the perceived power of money and fame that will change the course of events in one’s life, but empathy. Music is a pathway that allows us to listen to our- selves and the people that surround us. Music, even in its most intimate moments, is a pathway between us all. -

The Practice section provides a step-by-step rehearsal guide for actors to integrate Playing Action into their By Hugh O’Gorman preparation process. Acting Is Action is a place to begin for actors: a foundation, a ground plan for how to get started and how to build the core of a performance. More precisely, it provides a practical guide for actors, directors, and teachers in the technique of Playing Action, and it addresses a niche void in the world of actor training by illuminating what exactly to do in the moment-to-moment act of the acting task. 6 YEARS Written and Directed by Hannah Fidell
! 6 YEARS Written and Directed by Hannah Fidell ! Starring Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield 80 minutes, color, U.S.A. Sales Contact: ICM/ Jessica Lacy [email protected] / (310) 550-4316 SUBMARINE/ Josh Braun [email protected] / (212) 625-1410 Press Contact: BRIGADE / Gerilyn Shur [email protected] / 917-551-5838 SYNOPSIS A young couple in their early 20s, Dan and Melanie, have known each other since childhood. Now their 6-year romantic relationship is put to the test when Dan receives an attractive job offer from the record label with whom he interns, and he must choose between a move forward and a future with Mel. Growth and temptation happen – but will their relationship remain part of their future? Writer/director Hannah Fidell explores the struggles of young love as it begins to face the next steps into adulthood. Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield give warm, genuine performances as Mel and Dan, alongside Lindsay Burdge (star of Fidell’s A TEACHER) as a colleague of Dan’s who entices him in more ways than one. HANNAH FIDELL DISCUSSES 6 YEARS I wrote 6 Years focusing on the relationship of two young adults. Who hasn’t had a first love? And who hasn’t gone through a breakup with said first love? (for those of you who are married to that first person...please ignore…) More than anything though, I modeled Dan and Mel’s world on my group of friends in college. Although, the fighting and the physical violence, that was pure fiction. The script was in great hands with Taissa and Ben. -
