HEAD COACH CAEL SANDERSON THE PENN STATE YEARS Cael’s fi rst season at Penn State was solid. Sanderson led Penn State to a 13-6-1 dual meet record, much improved over the prior year’s 8-12-2 mark. After a year outside the top 10, Sanderson led the Lions back to their place among the nation’s elite with a ninth-place fi nish at the NCAA Championships and a No. 10 fi nal dual meet ranking from the NWCA Coaches. Sanderson picked up three more All-Americans (including a national fi nalist) and a Big Ten Champion in younger brother, Cyler Sanderson. In 2010-11, Sanderson reached the pinnacle of the collegiate coaching mountain by guiding Penn State through a stunning season fi lled with records, championships and memories that thrilled the Penn State faithful.

We are pleased to announce that once again Ron Marhofer Chevrolet is sponsoring this year’s tournament, which features over 100 schools from 25 different states. We are very grateful to The Ron Marhofer Auto Family for his continued support. On behalf of Walsh Jesuit High School President Karl Ertle, and Principal Mark Hassman, I extend a warm welcome to the many coaches, wrestlers and wrestling fans that have come to support their teams. Date: March 2, 2021 at 10:57 AM To: undisclosed-recipients:; TODAY’S ACTION UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; March 2, 2021 -- The Penn State Nittany Lions (6-0, 6-0 B1G), ranked No. 2 in the latest InterMat Tournament Power Index (TPI), will serve as the host for the 2021 Big Ten Wrestling Championships. The Nittany Lions and the rest off the conference’s 14 teams will take part in the event, which serves as the NCAA qualifier for the Big Ten. Action is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7, in the Bryce Jordan Center. Under current state guidance, spectators will not be permitted to attend the 2021 Big Ten Wrestling Championships at Penn State set for Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7. The Big Ten Network recently announced an increase of its linear coverage of the event, giving fans around the country the chance to see the nation’s best wrestlers throughout the weekend. Saturday’s sessions begin at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. while Sunday’s action starts at 12 p.m. followed by the individual championship round at 4 p.m. The network will air whip-around coverage of all four mats during session one on Saturday and air Saturday night’s Big Ten semifinals. All four individual mats for both Saturday sessions will have mat cams available on the Big Ten Network+. Sunday afternoon’s Big Ten Championship finals will also air live on the Big Ten Network.
