Letter Reso 1..2 *LRB09511555KXB33144r* HR0194 LRB095 11555 KXB 33144 r 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Tinley Park High 4 School Cheerleading Team on being named the Illinois High 5 School Association State Champions for 2007; and 6 WHEREAS, The team cheered for the Tinley Park football team 7 throughout the season, as well as the basketball team; and 8 WHEREAS, The team attended the Midwest Cheerfest at Carl 9 Sandburg High School on December 3, 2006 and placed first; on 10 January 21, 2007 they competed at the first ever SCC Conference 11 Cheerleading competition and placed second; and 12 WHEREAS, The Illinois High School Association sectionals 13 were held on January 27 and the team from Tinley Park qualified 14 for the State competition with their first place win; and 15 WHEREAS, The State competition was held in Bloomington on 16 February 2, 2007; the top 25 teams begin, and the top 10 are 17 asked to return a second day; Tinley Park took first place on 18 day one; and 19 WHEREAS, The team is coached by Coach Katherine Kowalcze, 20 Ashaunta McCormick, and Vikki Burkhardt; the school principal -2-HR0194LRB095 11555 KXB 33144 r 1 is Dave Kibelkis; and the Athletic Director is Mike Morgan; and 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Cheerleading Team are Ashley 3 Gerber, Katelyn Kwasny, Amanda Murphy, Megan Piotrowski, 4 Courtney Wessman, Christina Cardenas, Jaclyn Christofilos, 5 Ashley Hendzell, Leslie Lapthorne, Brittany Sauerman, Laura 6 Theisinger, Kristina Bailey, Kristin Diddens, Alyssa Malchick, 7 Constance Mucha, and Samantha Mosqueda; therefore, be it 8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 9 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 10 congratulate the Tinley Park High School Cheerleading Team on 11 being named the Illinois High School Association State 12 Champions for 2007; and be it further 13 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 14 presented to the Tinley Park High School Cheerleading Team as a 15 symbol of our esteem..

    Frequently Asked Questions Driver Education & Behind-the-Wheel Registration Bremen High School District 228 1) Can a student get their learners permit immediately after they successfully complete the classroom portion of driver education? No, after you have successfully completed the classroom phase you must sign up for behind-the-wheel (BTW) with District 228, another high school or a private driving school. 2) How does one register a student for one of the BTW sessions? Registration for BTW is moving to an “on-line” format. Information about how to complete the registration process will be provided in various ways including mailed letters, email, District 228 website, Facebook and direct communication by your student’s instructor. Registration will be February 1 - 24, 2021 or as long as seats are available. 3) What BTW sessions are available for students/families to select? Students/families will be afforded the opportunity to register for their session. Each session will consist of 10 drives/dates. 4) Can a student register for BTW at any school in District 228? Yes, students may complete BTW at any of the four district high schools. Please locate schedule for the current year to identify which two schools will host BTW sessions in June. The remaining two schools will subsequently host the July BTW sessions. 5) Does District 228 offer the classroom phase in the summer? Yes, the classroom phase is offered in the summer at Bremen or remote. Registration for the classroom phase is available on-line in the same web-based platform as summer driving. 6) Does a student have to wait until their sophomore year in high school to enroll in an approved driver education course? No, the State of Illinois has two criteria for enrolling in an approved driver education course: 1) the student must be 15 years of age AND 2) passed a minimum of eight classes in the student’s previous two semesters.

    7 In our 4th annual Community Impact Report we highlight the community aspects, economic impact and overall contribution the Joliet Slammers have made as tenants of the Joliet Baseball Stadium in 2016. The Slammers continue to provide affordable family fun and entertainment not just to Joliet, but to all of Will County and the surrounding communities. The Slammers take great pride in being an asset to the community and you will see in this report how we have proven to have a positive impact on the City of Joliet. We will highlight just how synonymous the Slammers have become with the culture of Joliet & Will County through: Events hosted Returning events and new events at the ballpark Participation in community events outside the ballpark Relationships built with local organizations Local organizations the Slammers are involved with Groups we work with in planning summer events Corporate business partners The economic contributions to Joliet/Will County Wages paid to employees Payments to government Purchase of outside goods and service Donations Fundraising groups The Slammers stadium has become a multi-use venue with a full calendar of events each year.
