Coordinator, Group Ticket Sales & Service Peterborough Petes Hockey Club

This is a unique opportunity to work in the exciting sport and entertainment industry as the Coordinator of Group Ticket Sales & Service for the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club, the oldest continuously operating team in the Hockey League.

The Coordinator of Group Ticket Sales & Service is a highly motivated member of the Peterborough Petes Business Operations department. The Coordinator is supervised by the Executive Director, Business Operations, and must form exceptional working relationships with the City of Peterborough Box Office Staff, the Engagement Coordinator, Coordinator of Ticket Sales & Service, and past, present, and future clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the sale of group tickets, including the Birthday Box, Skybox, and other group assets, as well as providing exceptional service to group leaders and members.

Specific duties consist of maintaining and strategically using data on CRM software, reaching daily outbound cold and warm call volume targets, maintaining a large lead list, and developing strong, positive relationships with community members.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Coordinator of Group Ticket Sales & Service are to:

• Generate revenue through the sale of most group ticket assets (including the birthday box and skybox, excluding minor girls hockey and /Fleming College groups) • Provide an exceptionally high level of service year-round to all customers in order to renew and upsell groups more effectively • Meet and exceed mutually-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in areas including outbound sales calls, data capture, client meetings, in-game interaction, and other activities • Manage group ticket inventory, tracking, and analytics • Seek out and attend professional development, networking, and other training sessions with the goal of constantly improving skills • Create reports and make presentations on trends and strategies to improve sales • Assist with the creation of ticket pricing strategies and new packages • Assist with the execution of game and community event activations in an effort to increase revenue and fan engagement • Assist with creative concepts for production of group sales materials including brochures, fliers and all other support materials • Develop professional relationships with current clients to generate referral leads • Assist with other duties as required, including but not limited to ticket or sponsorship sales and service, staff training, digital media content creation and distribution, and support of the hockey operations department

Qualifications and Requirements

• Post-secondary degree or diploma, ideally in sales, marketing, or sport management • Insatiable hunger to learn and improve every single day • Sales experience with a proven track record in a customer service role • Computer proficiency, with excellent working knowledge of Google’s G Suite as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook o Experience with CRM software preferred (AudienceView and Salesforce is a plus) o Experience with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro X, or other digital editing software is a plus • Excellent oral and written communication skills • A contagious, positive attitude • Strong time-management and organizational skills o Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals • Exceptional work ethic, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sport industry • Willingness to work evenings and weekends, including all Peterborough Petes home games and some community events • A valid G class drivers licence, insurance, and clean driving record • Ability to thrive as part of a team
