Rebecca Tessler—Ben Pollack Wedding Of August 18, 2013 Heidi and Carl Tessler have been blessed by Hashem with eight children and four grandchildren. Daughter Rebecca, a recent graduate of Stern College for Women, will stand under the chuppah Sunday with Ben Pollack, son of Chaya and Dean Pollack of Pittsburgh. Rebecca is currently training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City to become a hospital chaplain and next year, she will be working at The Yeshiva of Flatbush in Brooklyn. In addition, Rebecca is applying to PHD/PsyD programs in clinical psychology. Ben has a degree from the Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University in Management Information Systems. He is pursuing a master’s degree in that field and is currently employed in the computer department of the Kenneth Cole Company. Rebecca has three sisters and four brothers, including Rachel and husband, Rabbi Chaim Zev Grossman and their four children, who are visiting from Israel. Rebecca’s other siblings, Ari, Ben (and his wife Stephanie), Eli, Shira, Chaye and recent Bar Mitzvah, Shmuli, are all present and accounted for. Ben has three brothers all living in Riverdale, New York, They are Noam (and Yehudit and four children), Edo (and Reena and three children) and Coby (and Jessica and two children). We are very pleased to welcome the large number of relatives and friends, in great numbers, from a fifth of our states and Israel, both from the chattan's side, as well as the Kallah’s, who are here for this Simcha. And there are so many Pittsburghers here, that it is doubtful that a minyan can be found today in the city where the Allegheny meets the Monongahela to form the Ohio River. We give a special welcome to our former EDOS member, Michael Katch and Barbara Katch, who are friends of the Pollacks. We are truly delighted that both of Rebecca’s grandmothers, Freida Tessler and Audrey Weiss are in shul with us today. We ask the Pollack Family to extend our sincere greetings to Ben’s grandmothers, Hannah Pollack and Tziporah Tziger who were unable to make the trip to the Mile High City. And we recall, with regret, the four grandfathers who have passed away. May their memories be for a blessing. So, we wish a hearty Mazel Tov to the Chattan and Kallah, their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and their many friends. May Hashem bless this young couple with good health, happiness, much naches, parnasa and hatzlacha rabba. Jack Greenwald.
