Day 2 Arrive Chisinau (L, D) On arrival, a half day city tour of Chisinau before transfer to hotel. After lunch, we will continue to Cricova Winery. Cricova is pearl of Moldovan wine that represents an unique underground city well-known all over the world by its huge labyrinths, and especially by its excellent wines. "Cricova" is the first winery in Moldova which makes sparkling wine as it was prepared by the monk - wine maker Pierre Perignon. Bristol Hotel 4* or similar Day 3 Chisinau – Tiraspol, Transnistria – Odessa, Ukraine (2N) (B, L, D) Travel to Transnistria. Many people see this place as nothing more than a relic of communism and denounce it as an uninteresting travel destination. The truth is way different. Transnistria is an unrecognized breakaway republic located on a strip of land between the river Dniester and the eastern Moldovan border with Ukraine. A small city itself, its capital Tiraspol is one of the most fascinating places you will ever visit. Cross the border to Odessa, Ukraine. View landmarks such as the famous Derybasivska Street, Prymorsky Boulevard, Shevchenko Park, Potemkin stairs and Odessa Catacombs. Day 5 Odessa – Kiev (2N) (B, L, D) Depart to Kiev by flight. On arrival in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine; enjoy a city tour of Kiev covering Kiev Lavra Monastery, the Motherland Statue with the museum of making the Ukrainian nation, then after lunch continue with panoramic city tour: view of St. Sophia Cathedral, Golden Gates, Andrew's descent. Aloft Hotel 4* or similar Day 6 Chernobyl Day Trip (B, L, D) TOUR to CHERNOBYL EXCLUSIVE ZONE Drive to Chernobyl, passing Dytyatky checkpoint (on the border of the 30-km Exclusion Zone). Entry to the 30km Exclusion Zone. Arrival to Chernobyl. Introductory briefing on the Exclusion Zone administrative division and regulations, RAW disposal, etc. Sightseeing Chernobyl town: Wormwood Star memorial, St. Ilya Church, Memorial “To Those who Saved the World”, photo stop at the place with robots and vehicles used to clean the radioactive fallout. Entry to the 10 km Zone by passing Leliv checkpoint. On the way to the Power Plant we stop at almost fully buried Kopachi village and check the kindergarten which we can still enter. Sightseeing Reactor #4 from a 300 m distance. Stop near the Red Forest. Sightseeing Pripyat town: Lenin Street, the palace of culture, Polissya hotel, supermarket; Ferris wheel, the stadium, school, swimming pool and the hospital. Day 7 Kviv – Lviv (B, L, D) Early morning train to Lviv, arrival at 11:17 am. Panoramic walking city tour of Lviv: historical UNESCO city center with Armenian church, Boim chapel, Opera House etc. Stroll through the old part of Lviv from the Market Square, passing through the north side of the town, where you’ll explore the Armenian quarter and Armenian Virgin Mary`s Dormition Church, one of the oldest churches in Lviv. Admire the architecture of Latin Cathedral, Bernardine Church, Jesuits Church and Dominican Cathedral and the ruins of the famous Golden Rose Synagogue. On arrival visit the National Library and the observation desk. Minsk Hotel 4* or similar Day 9 Minsk, Belarus (B, L, D) Sightseeing tour of Minsk which includes the main avenues (Independence Avenue, Victory avenue) and the architectural monuments of the XVIIth - XXth centuries (the Upper Town with the City Hall, Holy Spirit Cathedral and the Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary, old streets of the Trinity Suburb). In the afternoon, excursion to Nesvizh; a delightful historic town. Visit the magnificent Nesvizh Palace (UNESCO Site) – former residence of the aristocratic Radzivilli family with its beautiful park ensemble and Farny Roman-Catholic Church of the XVIth century. Day 10 Depart Minsk (B, L) Stalin Line is an open-air museum of military fortifications, including the defensive line with trenches, anti-tank obstacles and ditches, anti-personnel obstacles and machine-gun pillboxes. Visitors can walk around a pillbox and sit in a gun emplacement, stroll along the trench system and clamber over a tank. Transfer to airport for flight home.
