08 DAYS ⁄07 NIGHTS 1° DAY KIEV Arrival to the capital of Ukraine and transfer to the hotel. Dinner in local restaurant with folkloric show. 2° DAY KIEV Breakfast buffet at the hotel. In the morning general panoramic city tour. During this excursion you will observe the most interesting sites of Ukrainian capital: Vladimir’s Cathedral, Golden Gates, National Opera and Ballet Theatre, National University, St. Sophia’s Cathedral - one of the biggest preserve museums in Ukraine, built in XI century in the times of Yaroslav the Wise included onto the UNESCO World Heritage List, St. Michael’s Gold-Domed Cathedral, Kreshchatik central city street and others. After lunch Excursion to Kiev-Pechersk Caves Monastery (Lavra), founded in 1051 by the monks with the aim to popularize the Christianity, contains miles of maze-like underground tunnels (catacombs) with numerous churches and ancient mummies in sarcophagus, interesting museums: the Museum of Micro miniatures and Treasury Museum. 3° DAY KIEV-ODESSA Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Morning flight to Odessa. Visit Odessa - the pearl of Black Sea during panoramic city tour. View the best that Odessa landmarks: the famous Derybasivska Street, Prymorsky Boulevard and Potemkin stairs. Visit The Grand Opera House and the Seaport, the Odessa Philharmonic, the City Council, the Palace of Count Vorontsov and Odessa Literature Museum. Walk along the Passage, the Cathedral Square, Italian courtyard of the Palais-Royal and the City garden. Discover smart and unique Odessa’s humor. IN OPTION: Visit to Opera House. 4° DAY ODESSA - SIMFEROPOL Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning Odessa Catacombs Tour. Odessa Catacombs have 2,500 kilometres of labyrinths stretching out under the city and suburbs. They played an important role during the Second World War, being used extensively by Odessa partisans and the Romanian and German armies as a campsite. As you leave the Odessa catacombs, devote a few minutes to go through the museum and listen to recordings of events that took place in this historical maze. After lunch you will visit the Odessa Fine Arts Museum. It was inaugurated in 1899 on the initiative of the Odessa Fine Arts Association in the palace, designed by architect Franz Boffo. Night train to Simferopol. 5° DAY SIMFEROPOL – BAKHCHISARAY - YALTA Morning arrival in Simferopol. Breakfast at the restaurant. Transfer to Bakhchisaray. This now quiet, calm town in a green valley of the Crimean foothills used to be the capital of the powerful Crimean Khanate. Visit to Khan's Palace situated at the very center of the Old Town is the Bakhchysarai's brightest sight and one of the few large monuments remained from the Crimean Khanate's times. Visit to Assumption Rock Monastery - one of the most ancient cave monasteries in the Crimea. Transfer to Yalta. 6° DAY YALTA Breakfast at the hotel. Full day trip in Yalta Photo stop near a famous Swallow’s nest. The tiny Gothic castle is set, like a swallow’s nest, on the steep Cape of Ai-Todornot cliffs, far from Yalta. It is one of Crimea’s best known trademarks. This elegant building is reminiscent of the castles on the banks of the Rhine, and is considered to be one of the most interesting architectural and historical monuments on the peninsula. Cableway to the Mount Ai-Petri. The Mount Ai-Petri is not the highest peak of the Crimea, it can be considered one of the most interesting points of interest. Visit to Vorontsov`s palace in Alupka- This architectural monument to Romanticism is one of the shiniest pearls in the necklace that is Crimea. Created by people in tandem with nature, the Vorontsov Palace has amazed guests with its original look for almost two centuries. After lunch visit to white-stone Livadia Palace, which served as a summer residence for Russian emperors in the 19th - 20th centuries, is not just the most beautiful architectural installation of Crimea’s southern coast, but also an important historical monument. Here, Allied leaders defined the fate of the post-WWII world. 7° DAY YALTA - SEBASTOPOL – SIMFEROPOL Breakfast at the hotel. Full day trip to Sevastopol. The hero-city Sevastopol, situated on the Black Sea coast of the Crimean peninsula, is one of the most famous cities of Ukraine. Today, it is a first-rate seaport and an important industrial, cultural, historical, and tourist center of the Crimea. Because of its unique history, as well as numerous monuments of architecture, and archeology, Sevastopol is often called a museum-city. The most interesting objects are the Count’s Wharf, Monument to Sunken Ships, and the Memorial to the Defense of Sevastopol. Visit to Panorama "Defense of Sevastopol in 1854-1855" - One of the great panoramas of the world (subject plan (area of 900 sq. m.). After lunch visit to the National Reserve "Chersonese". This unique monument of antiquity is one of the brightest tourist attractions on the Crimean peninsula. It is recognized as one of Seven Wonders of Ukraine, and it is included on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. Chersonesus is an ancient city, founded over two and a half thousand years ago by Greek colonists. These ancient inhabitants chose a very favorable place to settle: the polis was located on a small peninsula between two bays on Crimea’s southwestern coast. Thus it was named Chersonesus, which in Greek means ‘peninsula.’ Departure to Simferopol. Overnight in Simferopol. 8° DAY SIMFEROPOL – KIEV Breakfast at the hotel.
