RHYS JONES’S WILDLIFE PATROL Monday, April 7, BBC One Wales, 7.30pm #RhysJonesWildlifePatrol This week on Rhys Jones’s Wildlife Patrol, Dr Jones gets a mysterious call to work on a ground breaking new project which could have a profound effect on the survival chances of one of the world’s most critically endangered animals - the African black rhino. This piece of work could be of international scientific significance to the survival of rhino in the wild. After getting a call to meet at a secret south Wales location, Rhys comes face-to-face with one of nature’s greatest jewels: a rhino horn. Recently, rhino horn was falsely proclaimed a miracle cure for cancer, and the horn - which Dr Jones is asked to DNA profile - is worth more than £130,000 on the black market. It has been seized by South Wales Police to stop it being illegally exported to the Far East. It is estimated that rhino could be extinct within the next twenty years, and Rhys finds himself on the front-line fight against the barbaric trade. Meanwhile in, Cwmfelinfach, locals report an adder on the loose, quietly slithering through their terraced streets and nesting in the brickwork of one of the houses. After a spot of destructive DIY, can Rhys locate this venomous beast without completely tearing the house apart? Ceri Mears POBOL Y CWM Llun-Gwener, Ebrill 7- 11, BBC Cymru ar S4C, 8pm Monday-Friday, April 7- 11, BBC Wales on S4C, 8pm bbc.co.uk/pobolycwm #PobolYCwm Wrth i Dani gyfaddef nad yw hi am gadw’r babi, mae Garry’n datgan na fydd yn rhoi’r gorau i geisio newid ei meddwl. Ond pan mae hi’n bygwth gorffen y berthynas daw’n amlwg iawn nad yw e wedi ei pherswadio. Mae Cadno’n penderfynu mai’r peth iawn i’w wneud yw dweud wrth yr heddlu am ei noson ym Mhenrhewl gyda Kevin. Mae pethau’n edrych yn ddu ar Kevin, ond pan gaiff ei holi eto, mae ei gyfreithwraig yn ffyddiog fod ganddi ateb i’w sefyllfa. Daw Hywel i wybod fod Rhys yn gweithio gyda Iolo. Pan fo Hywel yn holi ei fab, mae’n dweud celwydd, gan honni ei fod yn parhau â’i astudiaethau yn y coleg ond bod ganddo swydd ran amser hefyd. Pan fo lluniau’n ymddangos ar-lein o’r ddau ffrind wrth eu gwaith, mae Rhys yn gwylltio wrth sylweddoli fod pobl wedi camgymryd ei fod mewn perthynas gyda Iolo. Daw Lois i wybod am drafferthion ariannol ei thad, ac mae hi’n ceisio prynu’r etifeddion a werthodd Colin. When Dani confesses that she doesn’t want to keep the baby, Garry declares that he won't give up on trying to change her mind. But when she threatens to end the relationship, it’s clear he hasn’t persuaded her. Cadno decides to do the right thing and tell the police about her evening in Penrhewl with Kevin, but when he’s questioned again, his lawyer is convinced she has a solution. Hywel finds out that Rhys is working with Iolo but when he asks his son, he claims it’s a part time job and doesn’t tell Hywel the truth about leaving university. When photos appear online of the two friends at work, Rhys is angry when he realises people think he’s in a relationship with Iolo. When Lois learns about her father’s financial troubles, she tries to buy back the family heirlooms Colin sold. Sioned Gwyn .
