Shults The article presents methodological approaches to assessing the risk of exposure to electromagnetic fields of the radio frequency range on various groups of the Altai Krai population. The risk was assessed according to the results of laboratory and instrumental measurements of the energy flux density from 21 radio engineering facilities located in 4 cities and 10 rural districts of Altai Krai. The risk of exposure to electromagnetic radiation during the implementation of the surveyed transmitting radio objects does not exceed permissible levels. At the same time, the presented results show the risk of exposure to only a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum of the radio frequency range and require additional studies aimed at clarifying the negative effects of various types of electromagnetic radiation. Key words: electromagnetic field, transmitting radio object, energy flux density, radio frequency range, risk of exposure. • Distribution of Heavy Metals in Small Streams of the South-West of the Altai Territory (Russia) Under the Influence of Anthropogenic Impact
E3S Web of Conferences 163, 03008 (2020) https://doi.org/10.1051/e3sconf/202016303008 IV Vinogradov Conference Distribution of heavy metals in small streams of the south-west of the Altai territory (Russia) under the influence of anthropogenic impact Oksana Korovina*, Vladimir Somin, and Larisa Komarova Polzunov Altai State Technical University, Lenina avenue, 46, 656038, Barnaul, Russia Abstract. Based on the environmental monitoring materials of Joint-stock company "Sibir-Polimetally", as well as Altai State Technical University scientific research, an analysis was made of the ecological state of the surface waters of small streams in the south-west of the Altai territory: the Nikitikha, Krutishka and Korbolikha rivers. The main pollutants in these water bodies are identified. The research results are relevant for the Altai territory, where small watercourses in the area where industrial enterprises are located can be a source of pollution of large waterways, which are of great economic importance for the Siberian region. 1 Introduction The Nikitikha, Krutishka and Korbolikha rivers flow in the south-west of the Altai Territory (Russia). Krutishka flows into the Korbolikha river, the latter together with the Nikitikha river, are the tributaries of the Alei River, which, in turn, flows into the Ob River (Fig. 1). The main source of possible pollution of the Nikitikha river is Rubtsovsk Metall Processing Plant based in the Rubtsovsk district of Altai Krai. The Korbolikhinsky polymetallic mine, located in the Zmeinogorsky district of Altai Krai, is a potential source of heavy metal pollution in the waters of the Krutishka and Korbolikha rivers. The studied pollutants were selected taking into account the specific character of these enterprises.

  • INTERNATIONAL ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION Russian Federation – Presidential Election, 18 March 2018
INTERNATIONAL ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION Russian Federation – Presidential Election, 18 March 2018 STATEMENT OF PRELIMINARY FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS PRELIMINARY CONCLUSIONS The 18 March presidential election took place in an overly controlled legal and political environment marked by continued pressure on critical voices, while the Central Election Commission (CEC) administered the election efficiently and openly. After intense efforts to promote turnout, citizens voted in significant numbers, yet restrictions on the fundamental freedoms of assembly, association and expression, as well as on candidate registration, have limited the space for political engagement and resulted in a lack of genuine competition. While candidates could generally campaign freely, the extensive and uncritical coverage of the incumbent as president in most media resulted in an uneven playing field. Overall, election day was conducted in an orderly manner despite shortcomings related to vote secrecy and transparency of counting. Eight candidates, one woman and seven men, stood in this election, including the incumbent president, as self-nominated, and others fielded by political parties. Positively, recent amendments significantly reduced the number of supporting signatures required for candidate registration. Seventeen prospective candidates were rejected by the CEC, and six of them challenged the CEC decisions unsuccessfully in the Supreme Court. Remaining legal restrictions on candidates rights are contrary to OSCE commitments and other international standards, and limit the inclusiveness of the candidate registration process. Most candidates publicly expressed their certainty that the incumbent president would prevail in the election. With many of the candidates themselves stating that they did not expect to win, the election lacked genuine competition. Thus, efforts to increase the turnout predominated over the campaign of the contestants.

Health tourism is a specific type of tourism with great prospects. Most people do not have time for long trips, but there is a great need for a change of scenery and restoration of strength. There are many examples when in the regions in order to improve health and relaxation, nearby areas are being developed. It is most promising to create programs for such tourism near existing resorts that have the necessary infrastructure and medical facilities, while individual client requests must be taken into account. It is proposed to research health tourism as a territorial tourist complex, which includes not only specialized infrastructure but also territories adjacent to resorts.

How to use the Atlas The Atlas has two map sections The Main Section shows the location of Russia’s intact forest landscapes. The Thematic Section shows their tree species composition in two different ways. The legend is placed at the beginning of each set of maps. If you are looking for an area near a town or village Go to the Index on page 153 and find the alphabetical list of settlements by English name. The Cyrillic name is also given along with the map page number and coordinates (latitude and longitude) where it can be found. Capitals of regions and districts (raiony) are listed along with many other settlements, but only in the vicinity of intact forest landscapes. The reader should not expect to see a city like Moscow listed. Villages that are insufficiently known or very small are not listed and appear on the map only as nameless dots. If you are looking for an administrative region Go to the Index on page 185 and find the list of administrative regions. The numbers refer to the map on the inside back cover. Having found the region on this map, the reader will know which index map to use to search further. If you are looking for the big picture Go to the overview map on page 35. This map shows all of Russia’s Intact Forest Landscapes, along with the borders and Roman numerals of the five index maps. If you are looking for a certain part of Russia Find the appropriate index map. These show the borders of the detailed maps for different parts of the country.
