Coaching Staff Greg Burnett Head Baseball Coach Rick Heines Associate Head Baseball Coach / Recruiting Coordinator Joey Dearing Assistant Coach for Baseball Josh Breiten Student Assistant Coach for Baseball TEXAS LUTHERAN BASEBALL POST-SEASON NOTES 1. Season dedicated to KB4 TLU lost former All-Conference third baseman Keaton Bohrmann in a car crash Riley in October of 2017. He played for TLU for Schaefer four seasons and was an All-Conference selection three times. He played on the 2013 NCAA DIII Regional team and was an integral part of the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 squads. Keaton died on the Texas Gulf Coast while in the area to help Port Aransas, Texas and the surrounding com- munities in hurricane recovery and relief. (The crash was a single-car wreck that was unrelated to his relief work.) Bohrmann was extremely well-liked and well-loved, and many of the players on this team either played with him or knew him well.

The team has dedicated its 2018 season to Keaton and to the Bohrmann family. KB4 is written on many things associated with the team. KB4 appears on helmets and gloves (fielding and batting) and in the dirt near home plate and near on-deck circles. #KB4 is used in our baseball social media posts. No. 4 was the number worn by Keaton at TLU.

It was fitting that the game-winning hit that sent TLU to the was de- livered by another Keaton, Keaton Boysen, and that the winning run was scored by a person that knew Keaton Bohrmann well, Centenary en route to the conference title. dogs were one win from advancing to the senior second baseman Ben Marvin. 20. The legacy of Coach Ray Katt Former Texas Lutheran baseball coach Ray Katt is second on the all-time wins list at TLU, with 502. Coach Katt managed the Bulldogs for 22 seasons, from 1971 to 1992. He coached six conference cham- pionship teams (during TLU’s time in the NAIA) and won four NAIA District IV Championships. Coach Katt played pro- fessional baseball for 17 years (eight in the major leagues). He was on the New York Giants’ 1954 squad that won the World Series. His best year came in 1956, when he spent time with the Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals. He hit 13 home runs and drove in 34 that year.
