FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Lila Prezioso 412-401-5458 Dominique Medina 304-624-1620 Primanti Bros. restaurant opening in Clarksburg, WV– May 21, 2015 Pittsburgh, PA – What’s almost 82 years old, but still new? Primanti Bros. restaurant has been “Almost Famous” since 1933 and now is excited to open in Clarksburg, WV. The restaurant is located at 300 Emily Drive in Clarksburg and will be the third Primanti Bros. Restaurant opening in West Virginia. Toni Haggerty, General Manager of Primanti's Original Strip District location stated “We are excited to be opening in Clarksburg. One of the most common requests we get is ‘When are you going to build one near me?’ So we decided to save some fans a bit of driving. A traditional Pittsburgh destination, Primanti’s suburban restaurant concept began in 1999 and rapidly became a popular place for quick lunches, dinner and late night snacks. A wider menu with more options created overwhelming demand from families, catering to young children, light appetites and those who are ready to tackle the signature “Almost Famous” Primanti Brothers sandwich! The expanded menu fills out with made-from-scratch pizza, gourmet wings, big burgers, salads, soups and more. City Manager, Martin Howe, stated “This latest addition to New Pointe will be very popular to many locals and travelers. It’s exciting to see that Clarksburg has been added to their list of great locations.” Mayor Catherine Goings added, “This family style owned restaurant will be a tremendous fit within our region by providing good food to busy locals with strong community roots.” Howe ended with “It has been a great pleasure working with Primanti Bros and their team through the site selection and development. We look forward to their opening and continued success.” Other locations include the Original Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh’s famous Strip District; three more in Pittsburgh’s city neighborhoods; the three pro sports venues (Heinz Field, PNC Park, Consol Energy Center); plus eight locations surrounding the city. Three locations in Ft. Lauderdale give a reason to visit Florida on vacation. In recent years, new locations have reached out to hungry folks in Erie, York and State College, PA; and Morgantown and Wheeling, WV; with more planned. Since 1933, Primanti Brothers has been a dining institution of Pittsburgh. Originally the restaurant started as a simple lunch cart, serving the late night truck driver of the Strip District who needed to get his meal quickly before unloading his truck and being on his way. What better way to accomplish this by putting the entire meal on one sandwich? The “Almost Famous” Primanti Brothers sandwich is built between two slices of crusty n’ soft Italian bread. It’s piled high with with your choice of select meats, an optional egg, with secret recipe coleslaw and fresh-cut fries right on the sandwich! The original combo meal and a Pittsburgh Tradition!
