We conduct flight training and aerial photography operations on the Big Island of Hawaii, Oahu and Kauai, as well as helicopter tours on the island of Kauai. In the summer of 2007, Mauna Loa began operating scenic tours on the Island of Kauai. Our locations across the Hawaiian island chain allow us to take full advantage of spectacular locales, varied weather conditions and unique challenges that comprise Hawaii and its airspace. Our Philosophy Our focus from day one is to guide our student pilots on a path to career success. Mauna Loa Helicopters gives each student the training they need to become a confident and competent professional, prepared to work anywhere in the world. We believe that Hawaii offers outstanding infrastructure for flight training, more convenient flight practice areas, less congested airspace, more favorable weather conditions and best of all, one of the most dynamic training environments on the planet. Our Mission Mauna Loa Helicopters, through proven programs and progressive oversight, trains each student as a distinct individual. We use our programs for the most efficient and rigorous training in the industry. We strive to create and maintain the most advanced training program available and utilize the unique environment Hawaii offers. Every decision made is done so with safety as the primary consideration. Our staff prepares each student to become a professional helicopter pilot and we hold them to the highest of standards to ensure a safe and successful career. We measure our success by evaluating the success of our graduates. Credentials and Certificates Mauna Loa Helicopters is an FAA approved Part 141 helicopter flight training school. Mauna Loa Helicopters is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Accreditation, thus far has been granted to just four helicopter flight schools nationwide, provides important benefits and safeguards for students. What this means to prospective students is that Mauna Loa has proven to a professional accreditation agency that the school meets stringent academic and administrative standards. ACCSC, recognized
