Fresh from his triumph as host of Channel 4's critically acclaimed entertainment show ‘ The Last Leg’, Australian funny man Adam Hills returns to the UK with his long overdue and highly anticipated new show Happyism .

After a two week limited run at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adam will kick off the tour in September with over 35 dates throughout the UK and Ireland. The tour also includes one night at the Hammersmith Apollo on 22 nd September where Adam will record his debut UK filmed stand-up DVD, Happyism, set for release by Universal Pictures (UK) on 18 th November.

Happyism will see everyone's favourite Antipodean comedian take to the stage for a first-class evening of comedy with the usual anecdotes and audience participation all delivered in his refreshingly unique, laid-back style.

Adam has achieved international acclaim as one of the world’s best stand up comics. His combination of positive uplifting comedy and rampant spontaneity has seen him receive numerous awards, glowing reviews and a legion of fans around the planet.

Adam became a household name in the UK after his part in the London Paralympics Games where he fronted the hugely successful ‘ The Last Leg’ for Channel 4, alongside Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker . Its success led to Adam hosting Channel 4’s alternative Christmas Day message – a first for an Australian!

Three times nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award, Adam’s solo shows are established highlights at the Adelaide Fringe, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe, where he regularly sells over 10,000 tickets in the month. He has also been awarded Australia’s Helpman Award for Best Comedy Performance , and has received the Best of the Fest, and Forth Fringe Award from Edinburgh Fringe critics.

As the host of the long running Australian music quiz show, Spicks and Specks , Adam Hills was seen by more than 1.2 million people on a weekly basis. He has also hosts his very own chat show on ABC Australia entitled Adam Hills in Gordon St Tonight 2012 and subsequently won the 2012 Logie Most Popular Presenter award.
