However, careful planning, preparation, and care of the trees are essential for success. This publication tells you what to consider before planting, how to plant your trees, and how to take care of them to ensure many seasons of enjoyment. Part 1: Planning Before Planting Fruit Selection Selecting the type of fruit to grow is the first step in tree fruit production. To begin, you need to know which tree fruit can be grown in North Carolina. Your region's climate determines the type of fruit you can grow successfully. The climate must be compatible with the growing requirements of the selected fruit crop. To take an extreme example, a tropical fruit such as the banana simply cannot survive in North Carolina. Bananas require a warmer climate and a longer growing season. Other tree fruit that may look promising in the glossy pages of mail order catalogs are also destined to fail if grown in incompatible climates. Climatic conditions vary greatly from one region to another in North Carolina, so make sure that the fruit you choose can grow successfully in your area. Table 1. Maki ling Forest Reserve (MFR). The study revealed that a 4-ha permanent pJot in the MFR had a complex and diverse forest community composed of forest trees and palms belonging to 44 families, 126 genera and 179 species. The area has an average density of 192 tre.e/ha and average basal area was 43m3/ha. The highest diameter at breast height (dbh) is seen in Octomeles sumatrana. Ficus minahassae and Litsea garciae. Based on population structure, l 7% of the total number of trees were Celtis luzonica, fol lowed by Diplodiscus paniculatus and Chisocheton cumingianus (8 and 4%, respectively of the total population.) Based on canopy classes. C. luzonica was composed of 20%. !3% and 67% canopy, sub-canopy and understories, respectively. Based on mortalities, the higher values are noted for Caryota cumingii (45%), Macarunga bi'color (42%), Ficus mina.hassae (40%) and L. garciae (37%). D. panicu/atus and C. luzonica bave mortalities of 12% and 11 % respectively. To enhance succession in the area, it should be subjected to enrichment using the autogenic and allogenic succession principles where shade~ loving trees should be planted in the natural gaps while intolerant trees should be planted in the Chablis. -

The variety of cooking methods and colourful ingredients blend together in a hot wok to create signature dishes of particular cuisines. Nevertheless, a cuisine needs to be clearly defined by definite individual characteristics so it is recognised. The primary objective of this study is to understand how Malaysian cuisine is used in marketing Malaysia as a tourist destination. Content analysis is used on selected Malaysian cuisine promotional materials such as brochures, travel guides, and webpages to extract relevant data. Results show that “close-up meal” had the highest image count from among the eight categories identified. As for text, ten categories were identified. “Creating desire” topped the list, followed by “sensory appeal”. The Malaysian Government is particular in the details selected for images of and narrative on the local cuisine. As a result, the marketing collateral could provide excitement and help tourists to anticipate the type of food experience that they can find when travelling in Malaysia. These constituents are used to treat diseases of skin and throat since ancient times. Herein we have investigated the effect of different constituents of mango stem on NFκB, which is the protein uplifted in inflammation. Different constituents show high binding affinity with NFκB calculated in terms of binding energy and stability in the cavity of the protein. Introduction: MangiferaIndica, (mango tree) is one of the flowering plant species belonging to the Anacardiaceae family. Toxicity tests on seeds and bark have been done but there is no data regarding the acute toxicity of Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco seeds and flesh of fruit causing the need for acute toxicity tests. This Research to know the acute toxic effects of tarap (Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco) seed and flesh extracts on larvae of Daphnia magna. Tarap seeds and flesh (Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco) was taken from dayak market in Samarinda, is East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The seeds and flesh of the tarap fruit are extracted by maceration with ethanol solvent. An acute toxicity test was performed by exposing Dapnia magna larvae aged ≤ 24 hours with a solution of the experimental group and the control group for 48 hours. Toxicity test results are expressed in percentage of immobilization of larvae of Daphnia magna calculated by probit test to obtain EC50 (Half maximal effective concentration) values. Extracts are toxic if the EC50 value > 1000ppm. EC50 Ethanol extract of tarap seeds obtained values (3922,301 ± 324,590) for EC50 24h and ( 2964,498 ± 412,498 ) for EC50 48h. -

By screening biomedical Superfruits databases, viz. Scopus, WOS, and PubMed, a total of 131 papers have been selected. Data reveals a wide series of biological functional food effects that confirm traditional medicinal uses or suggest new therapeutic applications.
