Garsys Bureau of Mitigation, Florida FDEM 2555 Shumard Oak Blvd. Tallahassee, Florida 32399 RE: Hillsborough County Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS), Updated Project List Dear Mr. Anderson: Hillsborough County's Local Mitigation Strategy was approved by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and its three municipalities: the City of Tampa, the City of Temple Terrace, and the City of Plant City. The updated mitigation strategy has an expiration date of July 27, 2025, approved by the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM). As such, as required, attached is the updated Annual Compliance Form per Florida Administrative Code 27P-22.004, which identifies the Chair and Vice-Chair ofthe LMS Working Group (WG) nominated during the November 17, 2020 meeting. Also included is the updated list of LMS WG voting members. Additionally, Hillsborough County's updated LMS project list is also attached. Citywide Seawall Resiliency Scoping - The City of Tampa’s Sustainability and Resilience Officer has identified a need to conduct a thorough analysis of the Flooding, SLR, COT Transportation and Medium 3.4.3 BRIC $500,000 2021 Not Complete City’s seawall resiliency against flooding, severe storm events, hurricanes, and Storm Surge Mobility Dept sea level rise. Citywide Stormwater Outfalls Inventory Scoping - The City of Tampa Stormwater Department has identified a need to inventory the City’s Flooding, SLR, Medium 2.4.2 COT Stormwater Dept BRIC $1,500,000 2022 Partially Complete stormwater outfalls. The outfalls are impacted from flooding, severe storms, and Storm Surge hurricanes along with sea level rise. Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant Resilience Scoping - The City of Tampa proposes to conduct a resiliency analysis of the Howard F. Current Wastewater Treatment Plant. The City will hire a consultant team to Flooding, SLR, review weaknesses in the Plant’s resilience to heavy flooding, severe storm Storm Surge, High High 1.4.1 COT Solid Waste Dept BRIC, DHS $500,000 2022 Not Complete events and hurricanes. The Plant could produce tremendous hazardous Wind, Terrorism materials into McKay Bay if failed. The City has obtained a preliminary engineering cost estimate to replace the seawalls along South Bermuda Blvd, from Linsey Street south to Flooding, SLR, Hemlock Street. The total wall length within the limits described above is 3433 COT Transportation and Storm Surge, High Medium 2.4.2 BRIC, BUILD $6,500,000 2022 Partial Design LF. This project will ensure protection against flooding, severe
