MnDOT will begin an ambitious three-year project on 35W this spring that is expected to have an impact on Roseville traffic through 2021. Plans include the installation of MnPASS Express lanes on 35W from Roseville to Blaine, similar to those between Roseville and downtown Saint Paul on 35E. The project also calls for repaving 35W and its ramps and repairing or replacing bridges between County Road C and Sunset Ave. in Blaine. Work is expected to begin in April on the southbound lanes of the interstate. During construction, northbound 35W lanes will be restricted to two lanes in each direction. Residents can expect up to a 30-day temporary closures of southbound entrance ramps as well as weekend closures on County Road C and County Road I for bridge work. Additionally, the ramp from County Road C to southbound 35W will close for 180 days this year. Rosegate

As part of planning for construction impacts on local roadways, MnDOT met with city officials to review local roads and intersections to develop temporary traffic changes to manage additional traffic on local roads.
