Once Heritage New Zealand has received an application you will be informed in five working days if it is accepted. It is the intent of Heritage New Zealand to process most authorities within 20 working days. If it is deemed to be complex or is required to go to the Māori Heritage Council it will be a maximum of 40 working days. We will inform you if your application meets these criteria.
