I trust that most at- tendees have been looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues from interstate, I know I certainly am excited to see everyone again. Max McBride President, Australian Taxi Industry Association Max is currently the President of the Australian Taxi Industry As- sociation (ATIA) and the Taxi Council of Queensland (TCQ). He has held the former position since 2017, and the latter since 2002. Max’s experience in this industry however goes back over 35 years to 1981 when he started driving cabs in NSW. From there he moved back to his hometown of Mackay where he has been involved in all facets of the business, from running a taxi booking company through to driving shifts in wheelchair accessible taxis. Max currently owns taxi licences in Mackay and Yeppoon, and op- erates a small fleet of taxis.
