Network Clinics Network clinics have been set up to improve access to medical services in Montreal and reduce the number of visits to hospital emergency rooms. This allows doctors and patients to develop a relationship of trust and work more effectively to prevent and treat health problems. GMFs are a central element of Quebec’s new strategy to facilitate access to family doctors. There are still relatively few GMFs in Montreal, but they will continue to develop in all neighbourhoods in the next few years.
