A cloudless sky and beautiful fall foliage provided the backdrop for homecoming weekend, Oct. 12-14, when alumni and their familie gathered to remember their days at Widener and Pennsylvania Military College. On Friday, the Golden Class of 1951 celebrated their 50th anniversary in the Widener University Museum with its Phase I and II commemoration of PM Hundred of members from the classes of1956, '61, '66, '71, '76, '81, '86, '91 and '96 were honored at the reunion dinner. Friday evening also had the 1981 Pioneer football team celebrating the 20th anniversary of their national championship. The alumni teammates then met with members from this year's football squad. The 48-14 victory over King's ollege on Saturday kept the 2001 squad's undefeated season intact. The weekend's events also included the Young Alumni Event at Bootlegger's ightclub, the 2nd Annual cience Alumni Breakfast reception, the dedication of the new hades L. Bartholomew Civil Engineering Laboratory at 15tll Street and Providence Road, a concert with the band Blackthorn, a homecoming luncheon at Quick tadium, and then came to a clo e after the Widener/ PM Alumni breakfast buffet. - DD i¥J
