Placements: About 100% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course for some students is 9 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4.20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Many top national Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. companies like Vedanta, Trident Group, Centum Learning, Bharti Group, etc., visit our college for placements. Many times companies place those students who have scored 60% or above in academics. Top roles like corporate social responsibility, counselling, medical social worker, labour officer, NGO sector, policies maker in government, welfare officer, etc., are offered to the students. Infrastructure: The department of social work is the only department on the campus who have their own hostel. Our college provides huge and knowledgeable books, and it is open for 9 hours every day. There is the easy availability of computer and Wi-Fi facility. Our department also provides pages and printout of reports and presentations. All classroom are air-conditioned. Our college provides a meeting room and other individual conference room. I am a day scholar, and so I do not much know about the hostel. The hostel facility is good, and it provides 2-sharing rooms. Food served in the mess is very good and full of nutrition. Our college provides sports and medical facilities. Faculty: Faculty members in our department are very excellent. All teachers have much knowledge about their course. They know very well how to deliver the topics in students because of their skills and experiences. Teachers always use a projector for PDF and provide all material also on mail. The course curriculum is very much relatable. In today's world, social work is much needed for balancing the world situation because it is concern about policies, individual life, environment, health, etc. Other: I have chosen this course because the diversification of this course attracts me. Students could make their career in different lines like government, private, non-government or self-work. I wish the college should increase the fieldwork days. The department of social work celebrates an annual day every year in November. Many events, debates and seminars are organised on current issues and important for our learning. The department is on North Campus, which is good for connectivity. Our college offers a healthy environment. Infrastructure: Good infrastructure at Delhi University and outlook gave 2nd position in infrastructure in India. Separate air conditioning library is available for the students. Good quality of food is available in the canteen. The hostel rooms are comfortable. Also, the hostel mess is very good. It is very near from metro station. Faculty: All the faculty members are very good and very helpful. All of them are very experienced and always help the students. The teachers use lecture and practical, both the teaching methods. This is practice-based professional course, so two days of every week is allotted to the field work. The course curriculum matches with UGC NET-JRF course curriculum. Placements: Once you are a part of the course at Delhi University, you are eligible for the universal placements drive for all students. I was eligible for the placement drive, and NGOs like Childline India, Katha, Goonj were represented in the drives. Many roles started with volunteering programs, and some even offered internships. The salary packages offered were a lot low to start with, but there was growth for the right candidate. Infrastructure: The infrastructure is like the other colleges. We had all the basic amenities one would need as a student. The colleges were surrounding the campus, and you'd find students everywhere. Streets and side shops were filled with students and juniors. There were many libraries but not as filling. Classrooms were huge and could accomodate the whole batch easily. The canteen was always full, and for sports, students had to travel to other colleges for playing. Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. Faculty: The course curriculum was standard as it is usually across the country. The staff and faculty members were knowledgeable and were interested in instilling the right values and motivation for a successful journey in this direction. Many students didn't know much when they joined the college, but the facultymembers and student activities helped to get a sense of career path we all have chosen. Students were industry-ready as the industry was ready for us. Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021..
