Trainings on ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid) techniques and alternative food production for 1,306 small farmers : 85% of the households have embraced the skills acquired and are using to increase their household’s food consumption. AVSI in Somalia Sector 2 – Nutrition

Check, care and supplementary feeding for 600 malnourished children. The families learnt alternative method of preventing malnutrition by using locally available food products in the market per season. AVSI in Somalia Sector 3 – WASH

Installation of 144 water bladders involving 100 unemployed youth to reach an average of 3.3 liters per person. Dissemination hygiene promotion messages to about 54,000 people by radio. AVSI in Somalia Sector 4 - Protection

10 psycho-social support groups for Gender Based Violence (GBV) victims established and prevention activities in 25 schools: increasing in cases of violence reported locally by the community
