Air traffic control: eyes in the sky The Air Traffi c Control Tower watches over the fl ight line and up to 5.6 nautical miles above and around Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. With just under 10K operations a year, the tower ensures the safety of all military and civilian aircraft as well as helicopters surrounding the base.
