KCA Coaches Are Possible During the Tournament INFORMATION PACKAGE Tournament dates: Wednesday 27th June to Sunday 1st July This is an international tennis tournament for highly talented boys and girls from all over the world, born in 2003 and up to and including 2009. At least 4 matches are guaranteed for every player. Training camp days: Pre-Tournament Camp: Saturday 23th to Tuesday 26th June Post-Tournament Camp: the week of July 2nd - Performance competition camp or recreative tennis camp in combination with football or dance Private lessons with KCA coaches are possible during the tournament. Free “fastest serve” contest for every player. There will be a prize for the fastest serve for the boys and for the girls. The city of Bree is located approximately one-hour drive from Brussels, Dusseldorf and Eindhoven (main airport cities), and is an important city in the northeast of the province of Limburg. It is centrally located in Europe, close to Dutch and German borders. It has exceptional green surroundings in the province of Limburg, with many walking and cycling trails. The academy is located 1km from the very pretty town center and square of Bree, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The academy is the perfect place for every young aspiring tennis player to reach his or her goals in professional tennis. Each player is important for the academy and the objective is to get the maximum out of every player. " Kim Clijsters Academy: not the biggest, but the best." Kim Clijsters In order to have your players prepared for the upcoming tournament, we have arranged a special training package, where everyone can choose the option which suits their needs. Players can choose to join the camp sessions, book individual sessions with our KCA coaches, or rent a court to play with their own coach. With these three options we will have the majority of your needs covered. KCA, Watertorenstraat 16, 3960 Bree, Belgium www.kimclijstersacademy.be www.ten-pro.net Page 3 of 18 th th Practice at KCA from 23 to 26 June Training Camp The camp takes place from Saturday 23th to Tuesday 26th June 2018, and can be booked for 1,2,3 or 4 full days or half days. The camp will be focused mainly on preparation for the tournament and will be conducted in groups of max. 4 players per court, with 1 coach per court. The practice will be run by experienced and qualified KCA coaches. The sessions are from 0900-1200, lunch break, and 1300-1500. The camp can be booked in advance via email to [email protected] . Structure of the camp: Prices: 09:00 - 10:00 Coordination and agility training Full Day: €70 10:30 - 12:00 tennis, focus on drills and footwork Half day: €40 12:00 - 13:00 Lunch Lunch: €10 13:00 - 14:30 tennis, focus on game situation 14:30 - 15:00 Cool down session Private lessons with a KCA coach In the period from Saturday 23th June to Sunday 1st July, private lessons can be booked every day from 8 am till 8 pm, depending on the availability of the courts and coaches. Every KCA coach is highly experienced and has sufficient skills to work with competition players. • A one-hour private lesson costs €60. • Bookings: at the KCA information desk or in advance via email to [email protected] Court Booking indoor and outdoor Depending on availability, courts can be booked throughout the week at a cost of €10 per hour. You can book them in 30min (€5) slots to a max. of 2 hours per block, in order to provide courts to everyone. We have indoor clay and outdoor clay courts, and we can also rent outdoor clay courts in a nearby club, a 5-minute drive from the Kim Clijsters Academy. Within the facility there is also the Energy lab, which is a major asset to any athlete looking to get the best out of their tennis. Energy lab offers screenings, using the Hawk Eye technology for tracking the ball and filming the player, in order to measure their tennis specific physical endurance; provide a biomechanical analysis; as well as a tactical analysis of their game. Furthermore, there is nutritional and mental advice available, as well as a fully equipped gym. Under the guidance of Kim’s former fitness coach and osteopath, Sam Verslegers, there is a whole team of therapists available including an acupuncturist, dentist, physiotherapists, masseurs etc… This holistic approach makes sure that every athlete can perform at his/her optimal level! The further uniqueness of this academy is the personal touch and inspiration that one of the leading ladies in women's tennis history gives to this place. She is the heart and soul of this place and yes, you will see and meet Kim when she is around!! Tennis programs throughout the year at KCA During all the other weeks of the year KCA offers various programs for international players, but also family-orientated tennis vacations. For visiting players, we offer weekly prices that include: Up to 5 hours of training per day Biomechanical and tactical analysis with Hawk Eye Unique worldwide tennis specific endurance testing with Hawk Eye Clinical and functional body analysis as well as nutritional and mental profiling For travelling pro's there are weekly prices for if they travel more than they actually train at KCA. However, longitudinal studies on the long-term use and effect of regional designing are lacking. This paper investigates the impacts of regional designing in the complex and fragmented setting of a cross-border region. Since the late 1980s, the region was subject to four regional design episodes that each had different impacts: from a new perception of the region to initiating regional collaboration and effects on the Dutch professional debate. The study showed that regional designing is a powerful means to overcome difficulties that arise from the fragmented setting of a cross-border region. Moreover, it revealed that the context in which regional designing is embedded determines in what areas regional designing will have its impact. Both plans and people are important in the transference of regional design outcomes to other planning arenas and conditions, such as status and available funding, improve the chances of transference. Meijer, Literature of the Low Countries vii Preface In any definition of terms, Dutch literature must be taken to mean all literature written in Dutch, thus excluding literature in Frisian, even though Friesland is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the same way as literature in Welsh would be excluded from a history of English literature. Similarly, literature in Afrikaans (South African Dutch) falls outside the scope of this book, as Afrikaans from the moment of its birth out of seventeenth-century Dutch grew up independently and must be regarded as a language in its own right. Dutch literature, then, is the literature written in Dutch as spoken in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the so-called Flemish part of the Kingdom of Belgium, that is the area north of the linguistic frontier which runs east-west through Belgium passing slightly south of Brussels.     BEREIKBAARHEIDSFICHE PROVINCIEHUIS Te voet Je kunt het Provinciehuis te voet bereiken via de boven- en/of ondergrondse oversteekplaatsen ter hoogte van het kruispunt met de Maastrichtersteenweg (KBC). Ook het fietspad langs de Universiteitslaan is toegankelijk voor voetgangers. Met de fiets Fietsers volgen de omleiding aangegeven door AWV (zie ook plannetje). Je kunt het Provinciehuis bereiken via de Universiteitslaan én via de Bosstraat. De Bosstraat geniet de voorkeur omdat je zo de werf kunt vermijden. Komende vanuit de Kempische Steenweg/Banneuxwijk word je omgeleid via de Japanse Tuin en de Voorstraat. Je kunt ook via de Sasstraat en Trichterheideweg het Provinciehuis bereiken. Dan fiets je op nieuw aangelegde fietspaden door het provinciebestuur, maar moet je ter hoogte van de werf aan de Universiteitslaan de weg oversteken. Doorgang vragen kan met een druk op de knop. Voorzichtigheid blijft geboden! Hier stap je best met de fiets aan de hand. Met de trein Je neemt de trein naar het station van Hasselt. Daar kun je een Blue-bike ontlenen of de bus nemen naar het Provinciehuis (zie ‘met de bus’). Plan je reis met de routeplanner van de NMBS. Met de bus Je neemt een bus die stopt aan het Kolonel Dusartplein of aan het station van Hasselt. Daar neem je een van de volgende bussen richting het Provinciehuis: lijn 45 Hasselt- Maaseik/Maastricht, lijn 36 Hasselt-Genk, en lijn 20a Hasselt- Lanaken/Maastricht. Je stapt af aan de halte “Hasselt Provinciehuis”. Plan je route met de routeplanner van De Lijn. De bushalte “Hasselt Provinciehuis” verschuift af en toe tijdens de werken. De bushalte bevindt zich momenteel ten westen van de Trichterheideweg en Via Media (zie plannetje op de volgende pagina).

De mijn beschikte over een uitgebreide houtvoorraad, die diep onder de grond als ondersteuningsmateriaal dienst deed. 4 | BE-MINE | HOUTPARK | BERINGEN BERINGEN | HOUTPARK | BE-MINE | 5 VOORWOORD De mijnsite van Beringen omvat 100.000 m² aan bestaand gebouwenpatrimonium. Daarmee is het de grootste industriële erfgoedsite in Vlaanderen en uniek in Europa. Van alle overige mijnsites in Limburg is het de enige site waar het industriële hart van de mijn werd bewaard. De mijnsite is gelegen in het kleinstedelijk gebied van de derde grootste stad van Limburg en aan de voet van twee terrils. Onder de noemer be-MINE wordt de site nu herbestemd als een toeristisch-recreatief project. Stedelijke functies als wonen, werken en winkelen worden daarbij evenwichtig met elkaar vervlochten. Met het masterplan voor de herbestemming van 32 hectare mijnterrein, krijgt de historische locatie een waardige, waardevolle en eigentijdse invulling. Het masterplan voorziet in een belangrijke wooncomponent, een nieuwe wijk met de naam ‘Houtpark’. Anderzijds voorziet het masterplan ook een belevingscomponent in en rond de beschermde gebouwen. Daar staan toerisme, cultuur, ontspanning en winkelplezier centraal. Het project be-MINE werd door de Vlaamse Regering als toeristisch hefboomproject voor de regio erkend en kan genieten van de steun van de provincie Limburg en de stad Beringen. Een aantal stedelijke functies zoals het nieuwe zwembad ‘Mijn zwemparadijs’ en het Toeristisch Onthaal Limburg vinden er onderdak.
