Uffici All'estero BENCHMARKING TRA NTO EUROPEI: ITALIA, FRANCIA, SPAGNA, REGNO UNITO E GERMANIA L'analisi comparativa riguarda i principali NTO europei ed ENIT/Italia.it in relazione a tre temi di particolare interesse per l’attuale fase di riorganizzazione dell’Agenzia: 1. uffici all’estero, personale e budget 2. attività di commercializzazione 3. utilizzo dei social media Per la comparazione sono stati selezionati quattro NTO rappresentativi delle principali destinazioni turistiche europee: Atout France – Francia Visit Britain – Regno Unito Turespaña – Spagna GNTB – Germania Le informazioni sono state ricavate dai siti web istituzionali degli NTO: http://www.atout-france.fr/ http://www.visitbritain.org/ http://www.tourspain.es/ http://www.germany.travel/it/germany/about-us/the-gntb/the-gntb.html 1. UFFICI ALL’ESTERO, PERSONALE E BUDGET In merito alla rete estera, una prima indicazione è data dal numero complessivo di Paesi e Uffici dislocati nelle macro aree continentali. Francia e Spagna hanno il maggior numero di Uffici nei Paesi stranieri; seguono la Germania (che oltre ai 30 Uffici di diretta dipendenza ha anche presidi su altri 11 mercati) e il Regno Unito che ad oggi ha lo stesso numero di uffici di ENIT. ATTIVITA’ DI COMMERCIALIZZAZIONE I siti istituzionali degli NTO analizzati prevedono quasi sempre una sezione dedicata al TURISTA ed una destinata al TRADE, da cui possono discendere tipologie di attività di commercializzazione in forme e misure diverse. In riferimento al potenziale TURISTA sono state considerate quattro tipologie di servizio da prenotare/acquistare: alloggio tour / pacchetti turistici escursioni, visite guidate, pass per musei, etc. trasporti Dall’analisi effettuata sono risultati diversi livelli di commercializzazione realizzati dagli NTO: 1. vendita diretta 2. indirizzamento verso centri di prenotazione (es. OTA) 3. supporto all’acquisto attraverso link a istituzioni territoriali e a singole imprese Alloggio A partire dal sito web dei singoli NTO si è verificata la possibilità di prenotare un alloggio (alberghiero ed extra-alberghiero) attraverso l’online booking. L’analisi consente di affermare che nessun NTO effettua in proprio l’online booking ma tutti possono facilitare la prenotazione di un alloggio indirizzando il potenziale turista tramite link successivi o altre forme di navigazione a siti web di: centri di prenotazione territoriali/regionali OTA e portali web di ricerca/motori di ricerca singole strutture ricettive catene alberghiere Spesso sono poi i siti di Enti di promozione regionale/territoriale che fanno da trait-d’union per supportare la commercializzazione delle strutture presenti nelle loro località di destinazione.     UNCLASSIFIED VisitBritain Nurture Project March 2014 Executive Summary VisitBritain is the strategic body for inbound tourism to Britain – a non-departmental public body funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport – it is responsible for promoting Britain worldwide and developing its visitor economy. The Nurture Project involves VisitBritain working closely with partners to make strategic but low cost interventions to support tourism growth in countries which are showing strong tourism growth potential and are priorities for HM Government, but where VisitBritain does not have a staffed presence. It aims to provide a model for VisitBritain respond to global opportunities with ease and confidence, delivering growth and helping achieve the ambition to attract 40 million visitors by 2020. The GREAT campaign, increasing importance of the Soft Power and Emerging Powers agendas and commercial partner appetite to engage with VisitBritain outside its core markets make this an opportune moment for VisitBritain to explore how it can broaden its global footprint. Three principles underpin the project: 1. Working with commercial and public diplomacy partners; 2. Utilising existing VisitBritain’s assets and resources without diluting focus on priority markets; 3. Maintaining a light footprint. Eight markets have been identified to test this new approach over the next financial year: Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey and South Korea (all GREAT markets) and South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand. The Nurture Project can deliver significant long term returns for the UK tourism industry and UK plc. Specifically: Deliver growth in tourism to Britain, helping achieve the 2020 ambition; Help break into new markets, laying foundations for UK travel trade to invest; Contribute to a lasting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games; Increase the UK’s exports and help attract inward investment; Support the UK prosperity, security and soft power agendas by strengthening perceptions of Britain in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

The branding activities of 39 national organizations that function on the territory of Europe were the subject of the analysis. In particular, theoretical deliberations concerning understanding of branding in the national and foreign literature of the subject were presented in the study. The main criteria were characterized based on which national tourism organizations were selected for the research. The selected aspects of the practical use of branding by the NTO examined (including the scope of activities taken within the framework of branding, perception and identification of branding by the organizations examined with various issues, the use of branded products in promotional campaigns) were all presented. In the study, a research hypothesis was accepted, namely that branding plays an essential role in the activities of the present-day national tourism organizations, and its rank and scope of use is constantly increasing. Because of this, it is becoming one of the key activities undertaken by the organizations of this type. introduction Although the notion of branding has been functioning for a relatively short period now in the literature of the subject, branding has been fairly recognized as a very effective way to obtain a possibly improvement of quality, and to increase the rank and effectiveness of the selected tour- ist sectors.
