Illinois Consortium for International Studies and Programs (ICISP) Carlow, Ireland Semester Study Abroad Program Cost Sheet This cost sheet outlines the program costs associated with the semester study abroad program in Carlow, Ireland at Carlow College through ICISP. ICISP reserves the reight to modify program costs due to significant changes in the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Euro. TOTAL PROGRAM COST: $8,300 USD Cost Breakdown: Instructional costs, tuition, and cultural excursions to County Carlow, County Wexford, Dublin City, County Wicklow, County Kildare, and a three-day excursion to County Kerry (Killarney/Dingle) $5,200 On-campus housing at Lennon House, including private Room, shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, shared common area $2080 Linen rental, ICISP administrative and orientation fees, faculty liaison and advisor costs $795 Mandatory basic medical insurance $225 Cost does not include the following estimated expenses: International airfare from U.S. to Dublin, Ireland $800 - $1000* Bus from Dublin to Carlow, Ireland $20* Meals $1400 - $1800* Passport $110* Visa $405* Books $135 - $270* Personal expenses Varies** Home college tuition and fees Varies# Optional travel and/or trip insurance Varies* *The cost listed is estimated. **Personal expenses are estimated. Program Dates (Dates to be announced): Fall: September 2016 – December 2016 Spring: January 2017 – May 2017 Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted to ICISP by May 15 (Fall) or October 15 (Spring). Payment: A $500 deposit is due with the student’s application. The remaining balance ($7,800) is due to the student’s home institution no later than the date of pre-departure orientation. All payments must be made to the student’s home institution. The student’s home institution will then remit payment to ICISP. Questions regarding financial aid and/or payments should be directed to the student’s ICISP representative. .
