Kenmare is a small town in the south of County Kerry. Kenmare is located at the head of Kenmare Bay (where it reaches the farthest inland), sometimes called the Kenmare River, where the Roughty River flows into the sea.

County Kerry is in the Southwest region of Ireland and is part of the province of Munster. Kerry is the fifth-largest of the 32 by area and the 15th-largest by population.
