Histoire Paralèlle, a TV show hosted by Marc Ferro with newsreels shown in both countries, 50 years before, became the most watched program of the station, comparing the images the ways in which German and French started the war, as it should be seen and experienced by their fellow citizens. The program became a social- ized process of understanding and historical rewriting, besides standing before the conflict between memory and history, a ques- tion that guided the historiography of the 1990s. This article analyzes Histoire Paralèlle, examining the relationship that it estab- lished with the historiography and filmic production of the historian. Therefore, its theoretical assumptions are re-discussed and historicized in the context of Ferro’s works and through the analysis of three of his programs. -

INTRODUCTION In 2018, A24 Films released the film Eighth Grade.1 Critics and audiences alike immediately praised the film for its “painfully real” depiction of what it is like to grow up in the age of social media.2 The film follows protagonist Kayla, a bit of a “quiet outcast,”3 as she navigates her way through the last week of middle school, trying desperately to fit in.4 Kayla’s middle school experience is similar to that of many adolescents; she is socially awkward at school and riddled with anxiety, but at home she comes alive, where she self- produces videos for her YouTube channel.5 Like many of her real life counterparts, Kayla has a crush on the resident cool kid Aiden, a classmate of hers.6 In one memorable scene, Kayla’s middle school is having an active shooter drill.7 During the drill, Kayla hears from * J.D. -

Después, su visionado fue posible a través de la página web eitb.eus. Según la consultoRa especializada Kantar Media, en su estreno obtuvo una audiencia de 27.000 espectadores, lo que representa un ‘share’ o cuota de pantalla del 2,8%. He aquí un pequeño desglose de la audiencia: 3.000 espectadoRes tenían menos de 25 años, 13.000 de 25 a 45 años y 10.000 eRan mayoRes de 45 años. 12.000 espectadoRes Residían en localidades de menos de 10.000 habitantes y sólo 1.000 espectadoRes en ciudades de más de 200.000, que en Euskadi son Vitoria y Bilbao. Analoge Radio en TV Rapport uitgebracht aan OPTA Definitief Door Stratix Consulting BV Hilversum, juli 2008 Management samenvatting OPTA heeft, in het kader van de marktanalyse, behoefte aan informatie over de rol van analoge RTV-pakketten in de ontwikkeling van de omroepmarkt. OPTA is met name geïnteresseerd in de factoren die van invloed zijn op i) de vraag van eindgebruikers naar analoge RTV-pakketten en ii) het aanbod van analoge RTV-pakketten door kabelexploitanten, om daarmee inzicht te krijgen in de te verwachten ontwikkeling van deze factoren in de komende jaren. Dit rapport geeft antwoorden op vier vragen van OPTA: 1. Welke factoren zijn van invloed op de continuering van doorgifte en/of de omvang van een analoog RTV-pakket dat door kabelexploitanten (en exploitanten van een FttH netwerk) wordt aangeboden? 2. In welke richting ontwikkelen die factoren zich, en welke ontwikkelingen zijn als gevolg daarvan in de komende 3-5 jaar te verwachten op het gebied van doorgifte van analoge RTV-pakketten? 3. Welke rol speelt een analoog RTV-pakket in de komende 3-5 jaar in de RTV-markt? In hoeverre beïnvloedt de (on)mogelijkheid van een analoog RTV-pakket Nederlandse consumenten bij de keuze tussen RTV-dienstverlening via de verschillende RTV- transmissieplatforms (kabel, satelliet, DVB-T, xDSL en FTTH)? Indien nodig moet een nader onderscheid gemaakt worden tussen het belang van analoge radiopakketten en analoge televisiepakketten. 4. Op welke termijn verwacht uw onderzoeksbureau dat het merendeel van consumenten enkel nog digitale RTV-pakketten zal willen gebruiken? Welke aanwijzingen zijn er op dit moment te onderkennen binnen de geïdentificeerde factoren, die van doorslaggevend belang zijn voor het bereiken van die situatie?
